The Black K-suit, piloted by Jacob Taylor, the K-suit uses a mix of technology, using better motors within, a stronger type of armor which reconstructs, and a cool black pain job with a yellow visor.
I'll get the full pic instead of my sig and my avatar, so you guys can see the whole thing later on.
let me put up the sig...

Awesome job! Sometime I'll show you my pic of Priss' Green hairstyle! XD
................. DAMMIT I can't hold it back any more x.x Falcon's comment just set me off.
It's terrible! Who takes a screenshot and then recolours it and expect people to praise them for it? Even worse is the use of generic photoshop filters and... ugh x.x if you're gonna make something like this, at least have the decency to draw it all yourself.
It's one thing to recolour, that's nice and all, it's another thing to make a thraed about it and expect people to blindly say "oh wow, good job" when most of it isn't even your own work.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
I looked at it and thought i could do that XD
I think i recognised the filters XD
I couldn't even see wtf it was .... lol

Well, hey, we're just trying have a little fun here, whether the work is ours or not. I'm not saying that it's good to steal other people's work; it's not. And I know that people have been banned for stealing artwork. I understand how bad it is, and I'm sure that the other guys here do, too. I'm just saying that it's fun to fool around once in a while, as long as it isn't harmful.
Besides, do you think photoshop is easy? Hell no! I'm taking a friggin' junior college class on it for pete's sake.
Do you think that I drew that cel of Priss? No, I downloaded it from animegalleries.net. Did I do some recoloring with Adobe Photoshop CS2? Yes.
What's so bad about a thread on this topic anyway?

I don't mind the fact that he has recoloured something, I just have a problem with the fact that he decided to show it off and try to get people to say how great it is. I was willing to stay quiet about it, but praising him for something like that is stupid... sure, praise him for learning the basics of photoshop, but don't praise him for the picture itself because ultimately it isn't his work.

Photoshop can be used by both pro's and basic users very easily, it's a very ingenious program.
But to finish off I will say two final things.
1. My field of study was Multimedia, and I'm not talking junior level here... (though ironically the work I do has nothing to do with multimedia lol, but I did spend those years studying and passing everything with High Distinctions and all so yeah XD)
2. I've already had to deal with more art thieves than any of you know, people who have tried to steal from me and my friends, so yes, I'm gonna be pretty hard edged about this kind of thing.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
I was steering clear of this thread too.
I also steer clear of that filter on Photoshop since I don't know how the heck to use it. I just use layers and draw stuff, with blur or lighting effects to make it look cool.... eh, who am I kidding? I just draw stuff on layers -_-"
@Chimy:
You can either put the parts of the image in different layers and use different filters, or just use the filter on the whole damn thing.

Paint Daubs and crosshatch I believe
No offense but this is weak... Its one thing to recolour a screenshot and use it as an avi/sig but its another to make an entire thread just to brag about it

You're right. Photoshop is easy to use. For example, one of my favorite techniques is to turn an average-looking picture of a mountain and make it look like it's on an alien planet.
First picture:
And after adding a new layer with a complete teal color gradient.
Ridiculously easy. Just a few clicks and we've got an image that kind of has a Stargate feel to it. Maybe I should add a moon or two in the background.
I took this picture last summer when I was at the Grand Tetons in Wyoming.
Dude..... you really don't know the full uses of Adobe Photoshop. until then don't try to pass that off as a stargate feel....

I was just showing how easy it is to use photoshop.
Where's your sense of imagination? Yeesh.
Besides I said, "kind of".
The original is still better XD
Heres a little modifying i done XD
I havnt done something in photoshop for ages =P
I used 3 layers, glowing edges, ocean ripple and a little recolour XD
Really have no idea of the full possiblties of Photoshop do you....

Hey Falcon, that looks more like a tundra, with the bluish color. Try giving the sky a different hue, instead of using the gradient on the whole pic.
Chimy XD I laugh! Nah~ the pic isn't horrible. I laugh because that's something that some people at DeviantArt go "OMG that's so cool!" and "ZOMG it moved me to tears!", when in fact it's something quite simple and doesn't even require a lengthy stretch of imagination on the artist's part. Nice edit though, it appears as an oil painting on the first look.
~ You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard. ~
Realy XD
I dont go on Deviant i might make a new picture sometime since i havnt for ages XD
Erm Thanks =P

@hawk: Sure, we don't. But we will...
@Chim: LMFAO! I never thought that you would pull that out of your hat. XD
@kyubi: Hmmm...interesting suggestion. Maybe if the sky was a different type of blue, it would look more realistic... Thanks.
Edit: CHECK THIS OUT!
Neat, eh?
Your moons look like cookies =P
That's cause they are cookies
Our moon is made out of cheese, but these two are cookies.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
The green moon doesn't look like it's part of the image.
The look doesn't look "authentic". That's because the shadows that the mountains have give away what time of day it is.
~ You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard. ~
That's the tricky part, right there. I'm not sure what angle the shadows should be on the moons.
Both should be the same as the colour of the atmostphere, maybe different shades one darker and one light but not different shades of colour.
You get the colour from the gas in the planet atmosphere and not the atcually moon

Wow really pushing the limits of photoshop here (ironically SG1 had a purple planet back in season 1).
Done in maybe a minute :P

Trade Secret...
kidding, Its just a simple gradient overlay combined with layer blending and a planet making technique I pick up from Deviant Art

Well, it could have been HOLY SHIT!! XD
Anyway, I think that I figured out how Damatee did those moons.
Let's take a picture of Hoth:
And make the use the eraser tool to erase part of Hoth to black. I made sure that the eraser tool had 0% hardness. We can then add a new layer with an opacity of 22%. After selecting a bright red color, I just colored the crescent and look at what I got.
XD I wasnt saying lol at any of the pictures i was saying at Falcon because he said this =P
