I was thinking the other night that it would be cool to
see Eric Bana play Solid Snake in a Metal Gear Solid movie.
But who would play Samus in a Metroid movie? Cameron Diez? XD
What video game movies would you like to see?
14 February 2007, 5:46 PM
Super Smash Bros Melee XD
Now that wouldnt make sence as a movie and they would have to fight one of those insane evil enemies, Crazy Hand and his 2nd in command Master Hand XD
Metroid is a exploring game so a Movie XD
Lone Bounty hunter looking for...goes to a far off planet to search then boom enemies =P
A Zelda movie XD
Who plays the characters though =P
Samuel L Jackson as Ganondorf XD

A Zelda or a Metroid movie would be awesome.
A movie based off of Megaman would be sweet too.

None...
Why?
Because video game movies usually suck, and vice-versa... Though it would be nice if something that comes along that could prove me wrong... Let's say, Kingdom Hearts...
QUESTIONS TO PONDER:
1) Are we really who we think we are?
2) Is time really constant?
3) Is death really the end?
4) Can I kill you?
"Observe, the darling sweetness..."

Kingdom hurts would stink as a movie, and i would be scared of a zelda movie because i would feel they would get orlando bloom to play link :<

Personally I would love to see a movie made out of Metroid...
Question is who would be good enough to play Samus?
"That's just as stupid as what you said was stupid." - Lynk Former
"Temporal Mechanics are a damn pain in the Ass!!" - Jack O'Neill (SG1)
15 February 2007, 12:53 PM
Uma Thurman
Name just came into my head when i read your post then looked at your image XD
15 February 2007, 2:03 PM
none
Military Intelligence are two contradictory words
16 February 2007, 10:08 AM
Warcraft
Legend of Zelda
Halo
Of course, all video game movies suck balls, so I'm not sure if I'd actually want these to be made...
16 February 2007, 10:45 AM
What about Final Fantasy: Advent Children XD
17 February 2007, 3:51 AM
alas that film did not suck o.O
17 February 2007, 5:32 AM
I could see a Zelda movie being done...
17 February 2007, 10:01 AM
Red Steel.
17 February 2007, 12:50 PM
Aright... Let's see...
Some of you have been talking about a Metroid movie. Well, the way I figure it, it wouldn't work if you tried to adapt one of Samus' missions into a movie. The only way you'd get a decent story is if you go the Batman Begins route and tell the origin story.
Eric Bana as Solid Snake? No. That'd be a job for Hugh Jackman
The Legend of Zelda? I wouldn't want to see it cause they'd try to make it too LotR type grandeous. It could be done without interfering with the games... but I still wouldn't want to see it done.
Castlevania... don't know if anyone is aware of this, but plans are being made for a Castlevania movie.
Red Steel done as a Japanese movie rather than coming out of Hollywood would rock XD
You've read it! You can't unread it!
Castlevania - See Van Helsing
The Legend of Zelda - See the tv show for why they should never make a movie of this
Halo - See Doom

@Gabe: I think maybe a pandas white fur has more surface area than the black well from what i see XD
So its white with black patches not spots XD
Alternativly im just wrong XD since its a philosophical question and im using logic
There was a fan-made LoZ movie.
And hey, I liked Van Helsing, and Mortal Kombat. Ooh, and Silent Hill ^^ FF:AC was okay.
I'd like to see a Bloody Roar movie ^^ Kitties and puppies!
~ You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard. ~
FF:AC was just an extra, extra, extra long cutscene lol.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
Aa~ I though AC was as cliche as anything FF could get
It looked pretty though, and I like bishies so... eh.

kyubichan Wrote:Aa~ I though AC was as cliche as anything FF could get XD I thought so too.

FF:AC was a great film to watch. The parts of me that go "oooh shiney!" at slick animation and graphics were loud enough to drown out the parts screaming out for a plot. Any kind of plot. Even a hint of a plot.
Silent Hill was also great; I haven't laughed so hard at a horror film since Dog Soldiers. The nurses made me think I'd flipped over to some bizarre Lynchesque Michael Jackson video.
As for games --> movies, it'd be fun to see Monkey Island or Sam 'n' Max (old old incredibly old skool). Nothing like rhyming sword fight insults and little fuzzy homicidal lagomorphs to brighten up a movie set.
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?
None really.
Did like FF.AC just cause it just looked so damn good.
But trying to turn a video game into movie generally is a disater
I still remember the live action version of Super Mario Brothers. I swear I would rather stab myself in the eye witha red hot poker, than have to see something like that again.
Ive seen the Silent Hill movie wasnt scary XD
I havnt seen FF:AC or the other FF movie =P
Does AC realy have basicly no plot and just shinyness and fighting? XD
Pretty much everything Sony and Microsoft stands for these days.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
Live action movies tend to fall off center of the originated characters for the purpose of public consumption. (as if the public was dumb enough already)
I would like to see Halo using the engine from FF:AC. Its the only thing I would respect, unless they used the engine from the Spirits Within. Halo is already so riddled with creatures that would require CG work and motion capture, but the good thing is, taht you don't have to make new models as the models already exists for the characters, just give them more detail. But if they do use their own engine, they can certainly use a bigger budget to amke things even more gritty, shinny and so much more l337 drool to the max.
For Metroid that will be hard, where you gonna find a blond blue eyed girl that wount remind you of some one else. I think Ana Kornikova, the tenis player, would have a good shot at it.
Hmm. I want to place my own idea in, but I want to see and actuall MechWarrior Movie. I don't care about the story line, I just want to see a MadCat running around on screen dishing out missles and lasers for breakfast. Oh and an Atlas simply pwning everything.
As for Evangelion, we all know that is in limbo, but I think this is a good little teaser made by a fan.

Meh and something for fun too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcYFXY9ob...ed&search=
What about that game that invovled that female ninja with a wire weapon, that would be cool to see.
unfortunately IMDB seems to have removed the entry, but there were reports that John Woo had signed onto an as-yet-untitled Metroid movie.
You all know we need a Bubble Bobble movie, don't'cha? XD
That fan made trailer was pretty good where do those more cgi-ish shots of Evas come from though XD
One thing Agent Smith as Gendo in it XD!

I believe that the shots of the CGI Eva where from a fansite called "Eva R" or something fo the sort. They actually made either a CGI episode or intro or something, my browser or connection has trouble with the sight, but I must say that it looks very well done.
I agree, even an american anime magazine said to put Agent Smith as Gendo. I must say, with no actual semblance of dialouge anywhere except for titles, the creator of the vid did an excelent job splicing other people in. Personaly I would like to see soem of the other characters, but she sure packed in a lot, he even had the green "this preview has been approved for all audiences" presenting screen!

This was a rumour started quite a long time ago now... nothing became of it.

A Kirby movie would be funny.
