shouldn't. actually if the ram clock was higher then such mentioned 'other ram'
the motherboard would detect it, and force the faster ram to be underclocked for compatiblity.

ram is made to be able to do that in these cases.
though sometimes it doesnt make sense because one can have fast ram but the front side bus only runs at a slower speed anyway, in which the ram has to go through anyway to be accessed. not directly to the cpu.

so really the ram is only effective at the rate of the front side bus

@Scar I know about the FSB thing to =P, my comp is made by some crap company my parents bought it b4 i even used comps much and the ram slows down my comp because its lower speed than my FSB XD
Anyway it depends which ram slot you put it in i think, i borrowed some ram from my friend and it overclocked my other ram

I have 4 sticks of RAM, all are 256mb. And they're plugged in correctly so it basically doubles my memory since the 2 pairs are the same model.

Hawkeye, I'm glad to see they finally came out with the digital cover for the kevlar helmet. When I was in the military I still had the old woodland camo pattern for the kevlar with the digital desert cammies and a woodland new style flak jacket. Talk about mis-matching.
