Okay originally this game was a Mod of the original Counter Strike. How ever with the release of the Source version last year, I can't clearly say that this game has come into it's own light.

There are many world war two games that you can go out and buy. But I really believe that this is the one true game, for a full battle mulitplayer game. If you wanted a arena to gather your friends in and shot the hell out of them, then this is the game for you. While the weapons may be limited to 40's era army weapons of the day. It's the first game were you have a great choice of weapons to uses or carry.

Of course the first weapon you always try is the battle rifle, M1 is a great choice if your playing for the Americans. It was a classic then and a classic now, many advantages over the German counter part, due to the fact that the German rifle is a bolt action slowing down the chances you have to fire.

SMG's are great for closes combat, Mind you if your fancy taking on the enemy from a distance the Sniper rifle always a good choice. MG's take up a big part, but your limited to how you fire them, Sandbanks or chrocing poistions people!

Bazoker!!! Hell of a weapons choice, Blow your enemy into the Straophere with this choice.... Limited as you have to take up a firing Stance, but hell if you actually get the enemy.

Support weapons that are simular to the M16 or AK47, but their really there in this game, Not my fave as their hard to keep good aim when your firing them at the enemy.

Maps..... Wow that's all I can say, all the games are Capture the flag, plain and simple to do, but all the maps are new when they came out and the details to them 5 out of 5 on my part.....

sniper rifles were always my favourite in DOD...there's something very satisfying about that clunk that you get when you hit somebody in the head, and with the war-torn, run-down cities and maps you play in, sniper spots are everywhere, and you really feel like you're fighting a war (unlike in counter-strike. ugh what kind of designated marksman runs around in an urban environment and actually engages the enemy one on one)

I was never really a fan of the Sniper Rifle, apart from one Map but I can't never remember the name. About ten times I tired to crawl into a sniper nest, but this American sniper at the other end of the Field kept getting me as I stuck my head out. Every Time I thought 'He never guess I'll come this way agin' but he always did. In the End I Picked up the Panzercreck and climbed the Clock tower and blew his ass away with a Rocket, It was great giving some payback to that wises guy.....

Machine guns my Fave, The German one good. But I hate it when your team mate don't give you their spare ammo. It can run out very quickly...

Machine guns give no excitement -- you're always giving surpressive fire. Sure you rack up a lot of kills but a sniper battle is tense, and exciting.

I also like the carbine and tommy gun, and the german k43 rifle -- nice weapons

it a thompson gun a M1 SMG, a tommy gun is a gangester gun with a complety different layout on it spectre....

Hell No Machine guns great if the get behind the enemy persitions and wait in a hiding place such as a window untill about half of them have walked into your shights and let rip....

I'm sure there were different models, I believe the standard issue US military version during the latter half of WW2 was cheaper, and less complex (and also less effective) than the older models, but it's basically the same gun.

I would have to argue with you the differeances between the Military model and the Civlian models of guns are very different. The M1A1 is the military gun seen in DoD.



Persuader & Annihilator were the models you know and love that fell into the hand of gangester, which became nick named as the Tommy Gun

Well I don't really want to argue this, but I don't think you can argue with the fact that they are actually different versions of the same gun. Obviously the persuader and annihalator look rather different, but really the only changes are a shorter barrel (without cooling fins), a horizontal rather than vertical foregrip, and changes in the aiming device. Also the cocking nob is on the side. All of these factors I suppose contribute to a very different appearance, but it is quite similar.
