After a weekend of playing it, what's my opinion?
I am addicted.
Not only is it a class rebirth of the greatest MMORPG ever, it also brings the game back to its classic story mode from the original Phantasy Star games.
Story Mode
You play Ethan Waber, a young boy who joins the Guardians, a group of hunters who serve and protect the universe in its time of need.
When mysterious aliens known as SEED smash through the colony and land on the planets, it's up to you and your guardian partners to save the universe.
The story mode is split into 12 chapters (which at writing this, I am on chapter 6), which is split into one main mission and as many side missions as you wish...
During which you learn how to play the multiplayer mode.
Multiplayer mode
All hail the greatest MMORPG ever.
Bring on 6 man teams.
Bring on duel weaponry.
Bring on non-lagged voice chat.
Bring on the ability to change class.
Only problem with the online mode at the moment is that we're awaiting an update with some more missions as currently there are only 4 missions available, and a level stop at 50.
But we are expecting it before the 12th December.
But it'll take me a while to hit level 50 anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much.
All in all, a superb game that has definitly been worth the 2 year wait since PSO on the X Box.
