See, most of us go through a similar phase. The difference is how we deal with it. *huggles Falcon*

I actually prefer Mint Chocolate chip ice cream over chocolate.
(Not to get too far off-topic.)
@Chimasterwang: My mom thinks I've got Asperger's Syndrome, but my therapist says my case of Aspergers is probably very minor.
I'm beginning to agree with him.

I actually don't mind emo kids. Yeah, they're a complete gimmick, but it doesn't hurt me. *shrug*
Their music is another story though. It's typically so whiny, and I dunno... I'm not a fan. Fall Out Boy in particular comes to mind. Panic! At the Disco also makes me want to puke; the lead singer is so terrible
But I don't really see emo kids anymore, or rather, I never hear the term anymore. I hear "scene" more than anything else these days...

I don't really understand their "music" XD So, they're emo? I didn't know that.
Recently, the only singles I hear (from US) are either rap, emo punk rock or that-genre-where-Duff-and-Hilton-belong-to (a.k.a. crap genre?). It's a good thing, I guess, since it made me more interested in the Asian music scene.

LOLz. I, on the other hand, am not twelve. But I look almost exactly the same way I looked like a decade ago. I grew barely an inch higher all those ten years... XD

Jeez, Moelman, did you have to be so blunt about it?
It's too bad that I like my sideburns, so they stay. Otherwise too many people would make fun of me.

Wiki's emo article is too funny. Here's an excerpt though, I think it explains well enough why "emo" is annoying: In reference to emo music: Wrote:The perception was that melodrama was feigned, an effort to display depression or dysfunction where it did not actually exist. Popular comments such as "don't be so emo" and "cheer up, emo kid" expressed the belief among detractors that fans of emo music took themselves too seriously. And one more:
In reference to the internet: Wrote:The term "emo" has also been used in recent years on the Internet as a form of insult, especially toward those who appear emotionally unstable, or those who talk about issues in their personal lives to people in public forums or chat rooms. I'd also add that they tend to be hyper-sensitive and overanalytical people, thus making any conversation a laborious task. And that's really the problem with emo people, they zap all my energy with their glass half empty obsession.

Yeah. It is tiring to reason with them. And emo music really doesn't help at all; neither does wearing makeup and girl-type clothes, especially if you're a guy. There are really kids out there who are depressed, possibly for social reasons, or they're discontent with their lives; it doesn't help that bands make depressing music/lyrics available for them because it doesn't usually become a reverse effect, it actually makes them wallow in their depression.

Or they just listen to it to be "cool".
To me being yourself is pretty good XD

Quote:To me being yourself is pretty good XD
Being "yourself" is the best. But the question is, who is this "yourself"? (".) I mean, we all have to conform to something at some point in time; does that mean we lose "ourselves" then? *being serious here*
~ You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard. ~
21 November 2006, 9:11 PM
The self is kinda dynamic we change/adapt from what we experiance what we learn enviroment ect i think XD
So basicly being yourself is just well just doing it being yourself there and then XD
If you look back on your old self it mite offer you a example XD

Hmm. That makes sense. I used to be so happy and lively when I was a kid, so my mom says. Now I'm not happy and lively, just randomly insane.

Well about more 3 years ago i just used to be real silly and imature and strange. I mean silly strange the kind that isnt that good XD
21 November 2006, 9:31 PM
Hmm. Well, I've told you before: I used to beat up guys, make girls cry, then I got bullied... one thing never changed though: I'm never the girly-girl, I'm the "bestfriend" type. I'm the type of person that you would want on your side, not because I can help, but because you would NOT want to go against me. I like it that way; a bit sad when it comes to relationships, though.
