This thread is dedicated to, quite possibly, the most
famous sci fi series ever made. Here, you can discuss
all the Star Trek universes:
Star Trek:
- The Original Series,
- The Next Generation,
- Deep Space Nine,
- Voyager
- Enterprise
This is the thread to talk about anything Star Trek-related, games,
movies, the shows, and the franchise.
Who here actually liked:
STAR TREK: NEMESIS?

Nemesis had a very good, but poor executed story
I don't like the Original Series, or Voyager, and Enterprise became terrible after the Xindi arc. Deep Space 9 is probaly the best of the bunch.

Hmm. Star Trek = Enterprise for me. And as Kim said, that show with the bald guy in it XD There's a TV series now called Enterprise. Does that have anything to do with Star Trek?

I enjoyed watching Star Trek: TNG, I think that's probably my favorite sci-fi series. I didn't watch much star trek outside of that, a little of voyager and a little of Enterprise.

I started watching Star Trek simply because of this...
Having that one in my pinball collection for one year and not watching any Star Trek series wouldn't have made much sense, so I started watching TNG (with "the bald guy", Jean-Luc Picard - am I the first to properly spell him?) and found it so enjoyable that I watched all seven seasons from start to finish - not on TV of course, and not in German (the German dub sucks).
I have to say that TNG remains probably the most "original" Star Trek series; DS9, Voyager and especially Enterprise stray away from the original formula and atmosphere too much. I don't like the original series, but I feel that even when I rewatch some TNG episodes right now, they have an atmosphere and a way of presenting their stories that feels "classic" and "right" for the Star Trek name. The TNG crew is probably the only one which follows the intended concept of Star Trek, with DS9 advancing into more political (and interesting) plots of war and racism, and the series follows an overall story arc much more than TNG, just like Voyager (which has brilliant execution in many episodes, it's the most thrilling series in my eyes) and Enterprise. The last series feels "new" and "current" with its visual style and its way of storytelling and acting, and doesn't retain much of the Star Trek formula except for names and tech stuff. Still a worthy series to watch if you want to learn more about the Trek universe, though.

One reason that i find Star Trek better than Star Wars:
STAR TREK SHIPS ACTUALLY CLOAK.

"Scotty, I need warp engines and phasers now!"
"Captain, I'm given yer all she's got. My kilt's holdin' the dilithium crystals together, but it won't hold fer long."
"Phasers, Mr. Scott!"
"I suppose I can make a double knot, and bypass the safety-relief-emergency-booster-cutlery-set jumpering the phasers to get you one, maybe two shots at the most, but..."
"... what's the problem Mr. Scott"
"... Captain, its the radiation. It'll turn the hydrophonics deck into a popcorn field. The pressure'll surely rupture the hull. Now, if we pop open the shuttle bay doors, vent the popcorn, we could drain the power from the impluse engines and route it through the medical lab and to the warp engines! There's a chance... it might just work.... one in a million captain!"
"Do it Mr. Scott. Mr. Sulu, Warp 9!"

Jack: "The Asgard sir? I usually suggest them around about this time."
Hammond: "Not this time Colonel. Star Fleet."
*sound of star fleet communicator*
Scotty: "Scot herrre."
Kirk: "Scotty... beam me up."
Scotty: "Ah cannae doo it Cap'ain, yoo're the one on the shep!"
*two people materialise in star trek stylie*
Kirk: "My name.... is Catain James T Kirk..... of the starship............ Enterprise, and this is..... myfirstofficer..... Mr Spock."
Spock raises eyebrow
Teal'c raises eyebrow
Jackson "You two are gonna get along well."
