I just beat GRAW 2 on elevated risk. Got the Ghost rating. It's definitely the best Ghost Recon.
The last mission was pretty hard until i just sat back and controlled my team into the kill zones, the anti-tank guy I had set for the team did a nice job at killing people who tried to get into cover.
The rest of the achievements are unlocked in multiplayer it seems.
I just got Phantom Hourglass for DS so I'm playing that, I just beat the first boss. Its really fun so far, the touch controls are a lot better than I expected.
@Lynk, too bad is a console game
Military Intelligence are two contradictory words

And Legendary is pritty much respawn every five seconds during combat... you have to think about combat and only take on what enemies you have to

lol i remember on halo 2....the first level was like the hardest, all those elites and limited ammo. i never did finish that on legendary.
now im back playing oblivion more than anything. just went to skingrad and purchased a bunch of destruction spells. There's a guy there that recharges magic weapons.....but it costs so damn much!!!
Heh, I play Oblivion too, good fun game, bet on the yellow or blue gladiator at the arena and if you win...save...repeat, if you lose, load the game and bet again, I suppose it's cheating, but means I can buy some of the nice items from the shops.

MS Saga: A New Dawn, original title, Gundam: True Odyssey
Probably the only Gundam RPG ever imported in to the states.
Man if they had a second one, this game would rock pretty good, it has so much to improve with just the basics it already has.

playing Splinter Cell, awaiting my copy of Double Agent that i ordered for less than $20 off of amazon.com.
24 November 2007, 8:05 PM
wow...just played 6 hours straight through. can't believe i haven't beat it yet. I was expecting the game to end after the cia embassy infiltration...it seemed like a decent place to end the game anyway. I wonder what the hard difficulty mode is like...

Well I came home for the holiday weekend so I could finally get WoW reinstalled since both the WoW and Burning Crusade CDs were here. I think you know where my gaming time will be spent.

Drawn To Life...I predict a lot of 9-year-olds will be breaking their DS's out of frustration sometime 'round about December 26th.

What if someone walked in here as a guest and saw you were playing Lair and NOT Assassins Creed? They'd laugh so hard they'd probably die and then we'd have to deal with dead bodies laying around in this thread... Jeebus... even Hawk has more of a sense of humour than you do...

I'm playing Fire Emblem for the Wii. When I can't play that game, I play Disgaea for the PSP.
27 November 2007, 2:43 AM
@ Black: MAJOR WHAT THE FUCK! I didn't say shit about what you should and shouldn't play, I just said Lair sucked a lot. If I really wanted to tell you what to do you'd have four dildos and a bike lock shoved up your ass with your cock bent so far sideways you'd think it was magnetic north.
Oh yeah, and Lair sucked.
@Eva they have Disgaea for PSP?

Playing the the phantom hour class on my ds at the minute

I finally beat Splinter Cell...that game had so many endings it felt like return of the king. then there were those 3 download 'bonus' levels. beat those. Now I am playing 'Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow' It took about 5 minutes to adjust to the 'new' controls and better graphics. funny though, cause i actually did beat it on my xbox, another play through shouldn't be so bad though. i can only remember about 1 or 2 parts on it that really frustrated me.
recently I've been playing either Halo 3 or Mass effect... I have CoD4... just havent played it yet

I got double agent in the mail earlier this week, but am going to just play through each one at a time so i can get a feel for what's going on, as i haven't played Pandora Tomorrow in a while, and I don't even think that I beat Chaos Theory. Also, it's kind of neat seeing how much is changed graphically on each one.
Super Mario Galaxy, Pokemon Battle Revolution and Metroid Prime 3 Corruption among other things... but these are the three main games I've been playing this past week... I've gone back and revisited Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney too and a bunch of other games... lotsa gaming to be done XD

I got hook again to marvel vs capcom.
LET'S GO CREDITS!!! !!! !!!
I finally got my broke wii back from Nintendo, so I picked up Super Mario Galaxy. I'm deeply impressed and gratified that the phrase "takes full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii" that I'd seen in so many reviews not only applies, but appears to be completely true. The graphics are impressive (at least on a normal TV...it literally feels like I'm watching Mario run around on a tennis ball suspended inside of the screen) and the controls are intuitive and responsive...not to mention that the game design is near-perfect. And to put this into perspective, I don't tend to like Mario games, either, so I'm biased in the opposite direction...it really is worth the purchase cost of a Wii. (imo)
I also picked up Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings...it's neat and I think I'll grow to enjoy it, but I'm very bad at RTS games so it's definitely an uphill battle [sic]. It definitely seems like the game takes full advantage of the capabilities of the DS, too, which is a nice change from Drawn To Life's striving-towards-mediocrity.
@Lynk...is Pokemon Battle Revolution worth the money?
@kiai...I lol'd. I lol'd hard.

Exactly how I feel, I didn't really like Mario 64 or Mario Sunshine, I've only ever liked the older 2D Mario games which are classics now, but Galaxy blew me away. It really is that good and gets better as you play it, and nothing ever feels repetitive about it because as you progress it just gets crazier and crazier. I haven't had this kind of fun in a videogame in a long time and the last time I remember having this kind of fun was when I was a kid playing through Yoshi's Island on my SNES. Absolutely love the gameplay, you can pick it up and do amazing things with it instantly.
And YES, the graphics absolutely rock. I have a widescreen CRT and run my games at 480p (for those of you who don't know, yes you can get crt tvs that run progressive scan) and it looks smooth and ultra sexy... which is totally unlike the screenshots you see on the net which show all the jaggies, ugh. Screenshots don't do the any justice, it really has to be played to be appreciated and those who doubt Wii's capability should take a look. The detail in the textures in that game are brilliant. There was one moment when I just stopped for a moment and said "holy crap, that actually DOES look like glazed porcelain i'm standing on."
Quote:@Lynk...is Pokemon Battle Revolution worth the money?
Only if you're really into Pokemon, intend to catch them all, train a kickass team, hone your skills and learn new techniques to defeat other human pokemon trainers, etc... then yes. Otherwise if you're just the casual pokemon player, then no... it's not.

Same here, and you're exactly right. It might be the most fun I've ever had playing a video game, as a matter of fact.

Also true...I typically read manuals before I play games, but I wanted to see how user-friendly it was before letting my little cousins try it so I went right to playing the game. I felt guided and comfortable the whole time. (though the camera control still feels a little misguided at times)

that's great to know; I've never seen Wii graphics in HD resolution, so I was kind of concerned that they wouldn't be able to withstand the transition. It really is the textures and lighting that make the game so deeply impressive.

Actually, that does sound like a good time. I really enjoyed Diamond once I got more familiar with it and it took me a long time to lose interest...and that only really happened because I spent too long berry farming and not enough time training, haha. (and I think my urge to work on my FF3 game also interfered a bit) My national 'dex isn't too impressively full, but it's definitely a start. On second thought, I guess it sounds like I fall into the casual category... XD
@ spinkle: Well I'm running at 480p which is EDTV (enhanced definition), not HD... but the reason 480i/p looks crap on HDTVs isn't because they're HDTVs, it's because they're LCD and Plasma TVs.

They have lower FPS or something right?
Ok what else is wrong with them Lynky
An old online game i used to play is shutting down. They put on some 50x EXP event that will increase over time or something and will do other things like give out skill opening cards so people can check out the higher level stuff before it goes maybe =P
Is a space fighter sorta game where you can charge your lasers sometimes =P

just beat pandora tomorrow, and am in chaos theory. PT was way too short compared to splinter cell! seemed more like an expansion....Chaos Theory is much more violent as the rating went from T to M. Tough to get used to the night vision and selecting the attachments for the gun, the game seems to run smoother though and the graphics are even better than the other 2, also there's a save anywhere feature...which kinda takes some of the challenge out of it.
10 December 2007, 5:39 AM
95 stars into Galaxy and I'm still not bored XD
10 December 2007, 7:10 AM
Oh, lol. Well I finished Galaxy ages ago XD got all 120 stars with Mario and have started with Luigi, but I haven't really felt like playing it lately since I've been doing other stuff.
