Unfortunately the time of the videogame cartridge has expired.
A cartridge with 2 or 3 Gigabyte capacity would be too expensive (the N64 cartridges were already quite high-priced).
Gaming with the PC is even worse, I´m currently playing Gothic 3 (RPG, similar to The Elder Scrolls) and in that game loading a quicksave takes 1-2 minutes. Here we´ve come full circle, sometimes I just don´t know why I´ve abandoned my C64 with datasette cause the loading times are still the same but the comp does consume ten times the electric power of the c64
