Spazz Wrote:What I don’t like is hearing the voices of the characters from characters in other animes, as the English cast is just the same people over and over usuallyThe Japanese reuse their voice talent just as much as the English dubbing companies. I could get you a list of some seiyuu's who appear in almost every freakin anime it gets annoying XD
Shinji from evagelion played by the same voice actor from Makie in bubblegum crisis2040 and Akito from nadesico..THAT BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME!
In fact, let's get one seiyuu listed here and see how many animes they've done... I pick... Houko Kuwashima. So let's see she's been in...
Angelic Layer (TV) as Sai Jounouchi
Azumanga Daioh (TV) as Kagura
Blue Gender (TV) as Marlene Angel
Chobits (TV) as Minoru Kokubunji
Fullmetal Alchemist (TV) as Rose Tomas
Gravion (TV) as Leele
Madlax (TV) as Margaret Burton
Martian Successor Nadesico (TV) as Yurika Misumaru
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (TV) as Flay Allster; Natarle Badgiruel
Ninja Scroll (TV) as Shigure
Noir (TV) as Kirika Yumura
RahXephon (TV) as Quon Kisaragi
Steel Angel Kurumi (TV) as Nakahito Kagura
X (TV) as Satsuki Yatouji
Zone of the Enders (TV) as Dolores
and the best thing about that list is that I've only listed the most recognisable animes, the list is actually a lot longer than that.
InsaneSith Wrote:Last Exile is the perfect example of where the dub is multiple times better than the original track (thus making the show that much better). The japanese voices sound like a fat man crapping in an aluminum tube compared to the english track. The Last Exile English audio rocks so much
Another good example of an English audio track outdoing the Japanese audio is ROD the TV, especially Rachel Hirschfeld who absolutely rocks.
