Yes, they pretend to talk about one thing, but somehow manage to communicate other messages via ebrain. That must be pretty hard, leading the tachikomas on by talking about master and slave bondage, and then having a conversation about how sentient the cute little tanks have gotten in their minds. I personally see no problem with this. It's like communicating via body language rather then talking. Sometimes instead of a "I don't know," you give someone a shrug of the shoulders. A thumbs up, a head nod. Blah blah. I think the ebrain speech was added to emphasize the fact that they aren't regular humans any more, and that they're capable of much more then a regular person is.
