It's not just smaller, the screen is superior to all other handhelds, it's superior to the PSPs screen. Which is GREAT, why? Sunlight doesn't affect the screen anymore, you can see it clearly in all light conditions and at extreme angles. The battery life has also been extended.

This upgrade IS worth it, it's just good as the difference between the original GBA and the GBA SP.
