I have just bought the entire boxset of 1st Gig, and have started to rewatch them... And I have just noticed something...

At certain times the characters are speaking to each other via their e-brains, and then suddenly they just speak through their mouths to the same person.

For example in episode 2, Testation, Motoko is talking to Batou via e-brains, he starts speaking orally, then electronicly again.

Can anyone explain why they do this?
Or is it unexplainable and they just wanted some movement on screen?
