Yeah, I use Firefox too but I still like Opera. In terms of portability with no need for that much flexability, Opera is the kinda browser you can count on. Plus Opera takes up less system resources than Firefox which is an added benefit for portable devices.
It makes perfect sense for Nintendo to support a web browser for the Nintendo DS. For one thing the Nintendo DS is WiFi enabled so whenever you're near a hotspot you can have instant access to the internet. It's great for anyone who wants to log onto nintendowifi.com it's also great for checking your mail, looking for the faq guide to a certain game and anything else a person would want to look up while they're away from their PC but have access to the net through WiFi. Basically it's for people who have a DS, don't have a laptop but want to go on the net through a portable device of some sort. It gives people options.
The top screen shows the full resolution while the bottom screen shows the shrunk down page where you can scroll to any part of the page using the stylus to guide a lil box. It also has lots of handy lil icons you can press to do your usual browsing activities but also allows you to bring up a keyboard on screen, similar to that of Pictochat (the chat program built into the DS) that allows you to type stuff.
I can understand your attitude though Mav, it's not something everyone will get into but damn, there are a lot of people who will.
and access to porn without the need for a PC!!
