I think it took me 4 goes before I finally defeated her, and I only did it BARELY... I got tot he point where my health was dangerously low and one more hit would be the end of me... when that happens, something just clicks inside my head and I end up REALLY going for it and go into a super concentration mode. I think her health was down to a quarter, so I still had a long way to go... somehow, I manage to defeat her without taking another hit... I let out one hellova sigh of relief afterwards.

I know *exactly* what you mean, it happens with me as well. If only I could play as well at the beginning of the fight as I do when I'm about to get killed, lol XD

Problematically, for a lot of the fights, you need to finish with a standard beam katana blow...which means you can't kill them with a wrestling move or a jump attack...and even if you have them down to what looks like literally 0 health, you still have to bang on them for a while to finish the fight. I lost a lot of times because I couldn't seal the deal and then got hit with the high-powered attacks (Jeane's jump down, Bad Girl's power swing, Holly's missiles, Destroyman's Destroy Sucker [and on a side note, what a bitch move that attack is!], and especially Shinobu's...Genkoken?)

I found a lot of the times during ranked assassin matches, I had to try to stop myself from laughing at how perfectly ridiculous it all was. It's great when she lights her baseball bat on fire as well... it's like just when you thought it couldn't get any crazier...

Oh, absolutely. I've always hated multi-form boss fights, so it was a nice break from that paradigm to just have cutscenes and laughable additions to the fights that, for the most part, didn't really affect the fights all that much. I especially loved how perturbed Jeane got when you started winning the fight...it was *awesome* and highly rewarding to actually see a boss react to losing.

As for Holly Summers, the fight with her was obnoxious... but I regretted killing her... it was the one fight where I felt like I didn't want to kill her... which is kind of what they wanted you to feel in the first place XD

Another really good part of that scene are who the people who voiced Dark Star and Jeanne are...

I thought the voice acting was overall tremendous. I've never watched dubbed versions of any of those anime, so I'd never heard Steve Blum or Kari Wahlgren before. I rarely say this, but just given the short amount I heard them do in NMH, I'd actually like to hear their dubs now.

I'm especially impressed with Robin Atkin Downes...I don't think I'll ever forget Travis' voice, or Silvia's (Paula Tiso) for that matter, although I did have trouble at times with her French accent

Also... slow response times from the sword swings? Are you mad?

The sword swings were perfect, even if they were just waggles. I felt the combat system for TPWii was pretty well done, it also allowed you to do some damn kickass things with the spin attack and aiming with the bow and claw shots.

TP was the first Wii game I played besides Wii Sports, and I had trouble getting the necessary amount of sauce on my swings to get the sensor to recognize them. If I played it again now, I would probably have a much higher opinion of the sword mechanics--NMH certainly gave me a lot of practice with exaggerated movements, haha. (another side note: I had hella trouble with the wrestling move in the fight against shinobu since i sit with the nunchuk turned in my hand in my lap because it's the most comfortable position...the gyroscope apparently doesn't like that, so I actually had to practice that move to coordinate my hands)

I gave up on the Wii version around the lakebed temple, which on my GCN runs had been more than a bit frustrating, so I didn't get the opportunity to really explore the controls--bear in mind that I was incredibly excited to use the double clawshot with with the wiimote, so abandoning the game was a huge disappointment for me. Not coincidentally, I also moved onto Metroid Prime 3 at that point, so there was a definite benefit to abandoning a Zelda game I'd already beaten twice...I was also expecting that there would be more of a connection between the Wiimote and the sword mastery attacks, and was kind of disappointed that it remained Press A When Flashing for at least the beginning ones.

The only other game that did it better in terms of direct ports with Wiimote integration was Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. Also, technically the Wii version did have improved visuals because it's able to display in 480p widescreen while keeping everything nice and smooth and looking just the way it should. The GCN version on the other hand doesn't even run on full resolution... and it feels so cramped x.x soooooooooooo cramped!! I CAN'T BREATHE!! XD lol sorry.

I happened to play Twilight Princess Wii on a CRT EDTV on 480p widescreen... with Dolby Pro-Logic II surround sound... as I do with all my other Wii games lol... so I'm pretty much covered there. Everything looks bloody awesome to me on my TV

I've been meaning to check out RE4, I've heard fantastic things about it. I'm even more excited to try out The Force Unleashed after reading details on its control scheme; it really looks like they've thought of everything and are pushing the Wii's capabilities...I was really afraid it would end up like Tomb Raider, but I don't think that's going to be the case, thankfully.

I've been shopping for a decent TV, as I only have a 36" old-school CRT (by old-school, I mean at least 15 years old) so I haven't been able to truly enjoy the Wii at full power yet. Some games, like Super Mario Galaxy, didn't suffer at all from the lower resolution; others, like NMH (unfortunately) and Tomb Raider were jagged as balls.

I gave him almost 200 thumpins and barely got his energy down by a quarter. This includes several wrestling throws...I'm not real good at math, but it seems to me I need to hit him well over 500 times to put him to bed XD My arm hurts from all the blade lock breaking, haha.
