Excel Saga is about whatever the hell you want it to be about. Martians trying to take over the world, or an underground organisation's attempt to take over a city as part of plans for global domination, or Nabeshin, or ... or... or....

Really, don't try to analyse the "story" too closely. Just enjoy the gags.

This coming from someone who watched it and felt that the characters were only slightly more insane than her friends...
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.

And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?
