@ spinkle: Okay... firstly... you are gonna explain yourself when you say "WRONG PLATFORM" *points*
The way I see it, Wii is a perfect fit for No More Heroes. If it was released on the 360 or PS3 it would've been pushed back into the shadows because those consoles already have a lot of so-called "hardcore" games. It would never have gotten noticed and it wouldn't have sold as well as it has on Wii... which it has. The funny thing is that this is Suda51's most successful game so far.. Hmm, I probably should point out that all of his games don't sell very well at all, and I mean they really DON'T sell. The reason for this is because they look "bad" and they're too far out for a regular "hardcore" audience to understand or accept. Please refer to one of my later posts in the "Real game VS NOT real game" thread for more information on this issue.
I honestly think it wouldn't have done well on the 360 or PS3 because it wouldn't have stood out among the crowd... I know that it certainly wouldn't have played well either and you know as well as I do that if the gameplay got boring in this game, it wouldn't have gotten you to the very interesting plot points which are the core of the game.
And Chim is a smart cookie... or he either remembered me saying something about it in the past... because as he said and I mentioned it in this post, Suda51's games really don't do very well because they're so unique in their styles. The so-called "hardcore" gamers put too many restrictions as to what a good game is for them to try NMH. The folks who buy Suda51s games are the people who know they really want something different which is apart from the norm. It's a very niche market which exists outside of the realm of hardcore gamers.
The bottom line is that Wii is NOT a casual only system. If you honestly think that *slaps you* stop thinking that.
Oh, and did you get the REAL ending? XD
Also, Suda51 has expressed interest in making more games featuring Travis Touchdown... fucking can't wait. But that'll have to wait, cause right now Suda51 is working on Fatal Frame 4 for Wii... a game which Nintendo is publishing... yes, another hardcore game on a system that's supposedly NOT hardcore *points*
