I take the CPU close the gap between you and themselves in a short amount of time?

The CPU players killinate you with items... first it's a blue shell, which is harder to avoid in MKWii, then before you can recover some other CPU player hits you with a red shell, then another one hits you as a bullet bill which sends you flying off of the track... by now you're in 8th position... but it gets worse, because they guy behind you has a lightning bolt and you're zapped, but the guy behind him has already used his super star and knocks you off of the track again and now you're either coming 10th, 11th or 12th depending on how far back the last karts are.

Sure, you can claw your way back to first place, provided this all happened on the first lap or even the second lap if the track is long enough, but if it's the last lap, you've got no hope of scoring first place and will probably only make it to 5th place if you're lucky.

The worst part is that while the CPU karts seem to get all those sweet items, you don't... I mean, they get bullet bills and pow boxes and everything all the time... but when I get knocked to the back, the only thing I manage to get are gold mushrooms or three mushrooms... which on some courses, going at 150cc where you need to do a lot of power sliding or risk being sent flying off the track is NOT helpful.

...This kind of thing happens constantly in 150cc and it's very hard to avoid it which is why it's based on luck because sometimes the CPU players never seem to get to use the more devastating items against you which start this horrible chain reaction in the first place.


@ Chim: Blue Shell's can't be blocked by banana's. They fly and they drop right on top of you and EXPLODE.
