No, I bought the game cause it absolutely sucks
It's what is called a "tactical RPG" in fact the Fire Emblem series is considered to be the first tactical RPGs made... think of it as like chess but not. You have a small army of characters on a battle field and when it's your turn you get to move them to attack enemy units. Once your turn is over, the enemy units attack your units. Strategy is a big part of it, hence the "tactical" part, it's really important to think a few moves ahead and to plan out your attack and what weapons/health items/etc your characters are carrying.
Oh and one more thing... if one of your characters is killed in a battle, that's it. They won't ever come back, they're dead. Of course, unless they're an integral part of the story, they'll just retreat from battle, but you won't be able to use them in battle again. So it's important to keep your characters alive.
