A new Slayers series has been announced- Slayers Revolution. I have seen more and more information about it on the internet, but there hasn't been a lot of talk here, so I thought I'd make a thread to gather what I've found out, and for further discussion.

The new series will likely not be ready until this fall at the earliest, but hopefully we'll get more information about it as time passes, including some more looks at character designs and something about the storyline.
There's been some movement on the Slayers front, so let's get started.

Starchild has opened up a new Slayers Revolution page:

It's a bit sparse at the moment, but does have a nice picture of Lina in the new style.

The next bit of information is a new Slayers manga, Slayers REVOLUTION. It is due out in May. Here's a link that includes some pics of the new series and style, and also has a bit of information about the new animated series as well:

The character designs are updated in the sense that they use a more modern style, but are still distinctively Slayers characters. They didn't re-design the concepts, which is nice.

As for the anime, the Slayers Again website notes that
"...the storyline of Slayers Revolution will be anime-exclusive but based on the story of canon novels which we haven't used in the first season and in NEXT."

I have no idea what that means, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
