I think they're a great developer but a lot of their games for Wii haven't been much so I hope they have a better 2008.They even apologised for making sucky games awhile back... but as I look at their future releases, they're still not coming up with anything other than a bunch of shovelware. And while I'm sure the more casual folks out there are loving the Petz series of games, I'd like to see Ubisoft tackle other kinds of games too instead of the really cheap kind.
Quote:Capcom I was very happy with RE4 Wii Edition and I would also like to try Zak and Wiki. Hopefully they continue that trend this year.I was worried about Capcom last year, but nowadays, with the exclusive rights to Monster Hunter 3 and Capcom being surprised by how well their games are doing on Wii, I can feel a little better about them.
Quote:With LucasArts I kind of don't agree with you. While yes Force Unleashed is a port I think just by having it on the console with all the exclusives its getting shows they do have some faith in the system. Hopefully we'll see more from them in the future.Ah, I knew you would
Okay, now it's not LucasArts who is developing the version of TFU for Wii though, it's Krome Studios. Another thing you should note is that it's not so much a port as it is a... remake (don't know what else to call it) of the version that's coming out for the PS3 and 360, and obviously it doesn't feature any of the advanced physics that the other two version have. Also, you're overstating the exclusives the Wii version of TFU has. We're only talking about a few small things, something to try to sweeten the deal for Wii players.
The entire reason LucasArts has gone ahead with a Wii port of TFU is because Wii is at the top of the charts at the moment and they know that they can attract at least SOME casual gamers to buy the game simply because it has STAR WARS printed on it. Otherwise, LucasArts understands that the "hardcore" gamer will flock to the versions that appear on the 360 and PS3.
In the end, Wii will see other LucasArts owned properties, but don't expect LucasArts to embrace Wii for their core games. It's going to take other developers who use those licenses to do it, and that is the issue. As I said before, LucasArts view is that they can make best use out of the 360 and PS3 and that Wii really isn't their kind of system.
Quote:Ah Nintendo, by far the best developer for the Wii. Super Mario Galaxy and the upcoming SSBB proves that. While people might say there aren't many great games out for Wii, you can always count on the great Nintendo titles.People are wrong when they say there aren't very many good games for Wii, it's just that the people who say that have a limited view of what a good game is. The people who seem to say it the most though are folks in the 360 camp... and as I said before, most of what the 360 has are SHOOTAN GAEMS.
