All I can say is... LOL!!
For those who don't know, Factor 5's most recent big thing with Nintendo were the Star Wars fighter games they released on the N64 and GCN. These included Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo on the N64 and Rogue Squadron 2 Rogue Leader and Rogue Squadron 3 Rebel Strike for GCN.
After that they thought the Xbox would be a good platform to develop for but made no plans for a game because the PS3 had already caught their attention. For the PS3 they started developing the Dragon flight game, Lair... as good as a concept that game was... it turned out to be an extremely poor game which everyone made fun of.
Now, Factor 5 is an extremely technical developer, and they prefer to work with the console that has the top specs and efficiency to make their games. It's why they chose to develop games for the N64 and GCN in the past and why they chose to move onto the PS3 for this generation...
So, it's extremely funny to see them making a game for Wii. But it makes sense! Lair was a complete flop after all, I think Factor 5 are realising that maybe they need to think differently... and what better way to think differently than on the Wii.
I'm hoping for a kickass new IP from them that makes use of Wii's hardware capabilities and control system right down to the finest detail. But I also expect that whatever Factor 5 makes... it's not going to be very original compared to what they've done... after all, Lair was just Rogue Squadron with Dragon's...
