I picked up Super Paper Mario yesterday for lack of anything that really stuck out at me (tho I also considered Pokemans Battle Revolution and Tomb Raider Anniversary, since a Wii port of the original Tomb Raider sounds dreeeeeeeamy [goddamn was the first TR game awesome...])

I was underwhelmed at first but it's hella fun and an excellent twist on the standard 2D platformer formula...not to mention how well written it is, with rapid-fire pop culture and geek references all over the place. I'm duly impressed! (as a side note, I thoroughly blame Super Mario Galaxy and a recent run through the original Super Mario Bros. for getting me back into this style of gaming XD )

Maybe I set my standards a bit too high for games now, but this level of fun and quality was what I expected from Drawn To Life when I first started playing it.
