Yes, I'm aware of how CG movies are made, Mav. But I was speaking from a purely visual stand-point in terms of overall quality rather than the technical aspect. I'm not completely ignorant of all of that, I just have a different way of looking at things.
And for the record, I wasn't talking about which system was better or anything like that either. All I said was that this is how I imagined RE4 would look like if Capcom had've remade it rather than simply ported it from the GameCube to Wii.
To make things clearer, while I wasn't exaggerating, I wasn't saying it would look like a prerendered CG movie with all the many, many hours of work that go into every frame, I was simply... you know what, nevermind XD I have no idea how to explain this to you.
EDIT: Okay, I think I've figured it out now. I'm aware that you can't technically do any of the things you can do on a console compared to a CG movie, but my point is you don't have to. Most of what goes on with console graphics is trickery. Most people didn't think the GameCube would be enough to make a good looking game that became Residet Evil 4, but they were proven wrong. And then when RE4 was ported to the PS2 and it looked basically the same, people thought "well of course, the PS2 has just as much power as the GCN"... that isn't true. Almost every effect in the game had to be removed and had to be faked, but the game still looked just about right and in the end it didn't really matter to people.
When RE4 was ported to Wii, and I acknowledge that Wii doesn't have that much more power than the GameCube, but the fact still remains that the game doesn't push Wii's capabilities like it did with the GCN. It doesn't even come close to using Wii's true hardware potential.
Now Capcom have very talented people working for them and it's my confidence in them and my confidence Wii's hardware abilities that allow me to believe this is achievable, even if it's not on a purely technical level... but like I said before, it doesn't have to be.
