I finally got my broke wii back from Nintendo, so I picked up Super Mario Galaxy. I'm deeply impressed and gratified that the phrase "takes full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii" that I'd seen in so many reviews not only applies, but appears to be completely true. The graphics are impressive (at least on a normal TV...it literally feels like I'm watching Mario run around on a tennis ball suspended inside of the screen) and the controls are intuitive and responsive...not to mention that the game design is near-perfect. And to put this into perspective, I don't tend to like Mario games, either, so I'm biased in the opposite direction...it really is worth the purchase cost of a Wii. (imo)
I also picked up Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings...it's neat and I think I'll grow to enjoy it, but I'm very bad at RTS games so it's definitely an uphill battle [sic]. It definitely seems like the game takes full advantage of the capabilities of the DS, too, which is a nice change from Drawn To Life's striving-towards-mediocrity.
@Lynk...is Pokemon Battle Revolution worth the money?
@kiai...I lol'd. I lol'd hard.
