Oh, oh, oh! There's this thing I really love in the game. In Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, it was revealed that the Luminoth had contact with the Chozo and as a gift, the Chozo gave the Luminoth a Spin Attack device... It appears that the Chozo gave these devices to all of the advanced species they encountered. On Bryyo, the advanced species that used to inhabit that world also received a Spin Attack device from the Chozo, and it appeared that they had also been in contact with the Luminoth too! The area in which you get the Spin Attack is so cool, it has two HUGE statues, one of a Chozo and the other of a Bryyonian. The Chozo statue is giving the Bryyonian statue the Screw Attack device... I thought that was so cool. It's funny though, the Luminoth had their Screw Attack locked up in a high security containment field... the Bryyonians on the other hand just kept it out in the open, though in a very remote area of their planet... lol
I also love the many other references to past Metroid games (past as in past Metroid games that were made). Some of which creeped me out cause they made too much sense and fitted together all TOO well lol.
For example. Phazon is a mutagenic compound also has the ability to spawn life from itself. Remember the Ing from Echoes? Well it appears that when Phazon puddles mature to a certain stage where they become alive, they start to resemble Inglets, those little Ing creatures that slimed on the wall and lil blob heads would pop up and fire blobs at you. Remember now? Just think, the Ing were created when a Phazon meteorite impacted Aether... so OF COURSE the Ing would resember Phazon based lifeforms despite not being spawned from Phazon but rather a Phazon related event.
There's also a bit of confusion when it comes to Metroids in this game... they refer to Phazon Metroids and then relate them to "Tallon Metroids", even though Metroids aren't native to Tallon IV and were brought over by the Space Pirates to use with Phazon experiments... and most of the Phazon Metroids in this game aren't related to the ones the the Space Pirates brought to Tallon IV. And then there's the whole Phazon and Metroid connection itself. It's said that Metroid Prime is called Metroid Prime because it resembles a Metroid, but then Metroid Prime is able to spawn Metroids to use against you in the final battle with it. The Metroids themselves were said to be created by the Chozo on SR-388 to combat the X parasite population... but the Prime sub-series continues to maintain some connection between Phazon and Metroids... it's all a little confusing and doesn't quite add up... oh well.
