Rach Wrote:well, but i don't imagine Adam's voice in fusion to be like... a typical movie trailer narrator. Like i said, those that are much like chaminees (or whatever you spell that, thank you XD). And he doesn't get those cliche whatever lines in the game XPAdam was a very cliché character in itself, and when you find out the truth about him in the end a lot of Metroid fans put their hand over their face and shook their heads.
Quote:There are many things that i like in fusion. I like that it gives a certain air of "the end" to the story.Actually, it gives a certain air of "the end...? of course not, there are so many loose ends"... We (the general Metroid fanbase) are all craving for a Metroid set after Fusion because so much is in the air that hasn't been resolved. It was a very bad way to end for the fact that Nintendo hasn't made a sequel for it.
Quote:Oh yeah, and the part straight from SNES' Super Metroid ending, that you save those little green fellas outhere and they come up in the bio lab facility and they save you in the end, that was pretty cool in my opinion. Toukan koukan, eh? XDYeah, I liked that part too. Samus saves them on Zebes, they save Samus in Fusion. Another good thing about Fusion was the moments you had with the SA-X. And I didn't mind the moments in the elevators when Samus had her "thoughts" like she did at the start of Super Metroid.
But the thing I hated was Adam, being told where to go and what to do by him, etc. I wasn't exploring on my own, I was being given instructions on where to go which pissed me off.
They tried to do the same in Zero Mission with a toned down version with the Chozo statues that "guided" you... I hated that too.
Quote:And for all that i love in Samus, but i was so happy to see some lines from her. Some personality. Not just a killing machine. Oh wait, that's Sa-X. Haha oh, enought with the jokes. But really. After all those years, i really wanted to know what she was actually like. What she thinks and everything. She was such an interesting character that had no development at all (ok, not exactly AT ALL, but you're following me here or i'm getting everyone very confused?), i was really glad to see that script in fusion.Samus had a lot of development before Fusion, all it took was a few pieces of text at the start of Super Metroid and then the rest of the development was through her actions in the game. She is a character who speaks loudest with her actions and in the final moments in Super Metroid, no words were spoken, but everything was absolutely clear in what kind of person she was.
They did this very well in Zero Mission, aside from guiding you too much in the game, the story was a short piece of text at the start of the game, and then actions and events during the game. You learnt a hell of a lot about Samus through images and got a clear understanding of who she was a lot better than what you got with her in Fusion. That one drawing in the Chozo Temple that Samus drew as a child of her and the Chozo elder told me more about her than the entire script of Fusion.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
