Last chapter might have come off as an "in your face" stuff, but I promise to keep it a little more in bounds this time.
1 week Later...
The man never knew what hit him, as a pair of shapely legs clamped down around his neck. Arching backwards her legs still firmly around his neck his body followed and he was promptly thrown through the air. Rolling, her bandaged arms clutched firmly in front of her stomach she flowed forward, her feet finding hard earth and she was running again. The unconscious man now an after thought in her cluttered mind. Her feet padded hard as she dug into the earth, sprinting inhumanely fast through the dense underbrush.
Hopping slightly she brought her body down onto her haunches, then launched upward with a viscous spinning roundhouse to another unfortunate guards head. There was a sickening crunch as a heel made contact with an eye socket, but again the woman paid no attention and simply kept running onward into the night.
"You don't get out much in the Marines do you?" a slightly annoying voice blurted in her ear.
"Now what would ever make you say that?" She flipped through the air again, this time landing feet first on a very confused guards shoulders. Bringing her right leg up to her head she thrust it back down lightning fast, her heel making contact with the guards nose.
"Watching you makes me feel like I've played too much Dead or Alive..." There was a sigh and then a pause as she downed another guard. "How are the burns at least?"
"I'll worry about it when I can't move my arms anymore" She said, trying to be assuring. He worries too much, she thought to herself. She was kidding herself though, her arms twinged slightly with light arcs of pain. It was amazing that she escaped with only burns on her arms, she'd been completely engulfed in a storm of fire only an hour earlier. She remembered the Knight Sabers being slightly more conservative with their destructive capabilities, but pushed the the thought to the back of her head when she bypassed another group of guards, running silently by them.
"How much farther?" She asked, starting to get winded.
"That fence in front of you blocks the path to the highway overpass, I'm trying to find an alternate-"
Not even pausing to regard the words, she ducked down again and launched off into a spinning somersault over the barbed wire fencing. Landing facing the fence behind her she had enough time to take in the fiery inferno and the no trespassing sign before she sprinted off down the grassy bank to the highway.
?*Sigh* Never mind I guess.?
"What time is it?" She asked, glancing at her arm in disgust.
"Broke my watch already?"
"JUST TELL ME WHAT FUCKING TIME IT IS!" She screamed out into the night.
"FINE, fine! It's around eleven-thirty." Chim answered flustered.
Good, its 2300 and judging by what she could remember from the traffic satellites and shipping reports this would be a prime freight shipping hour, which meant huge transport trucks. Still sprinting the grass ended abruptly, met by a concrete lip that revealed the hundred or so feet down to the pulsing highway below. The barely audible blip led to her right, past her field of vision just under an overpass.
"Must be where the mobile pit is hiding." The voice in her ear keyed up.
Running along the lip of the wall she scanned the cars below for a suitable target.
"This is gonna be a bit rough." She thought out loud.
"Wait... you're not serious?" The voice asked again.
"Deadly serious." She said determination hardened into her voice.
"You'll never make it you idiot! Not even with your souped up body, so don't even try it!" The voice was screaming.
"Sorry kid, its either this, or we waste more time trying to figure out where the hell the Knight Sabers went."
It was safe to say she'd almost pulled all of her hair out trying to find the whereabouts of the person behind the Silky Doll lingerie shop, it had closed down about a year ago and the building abandoned. They'd been monitoring the activity of the Knights trying to get a fix on their location for nearly a week now, but they'd show up and disappear as fast they came. Their efforts led them nowhere except to the power plant that had just been mysteriously blown up. She'd managed to tag the pink saber, but the signal was already getting weak.

Before there was time to argue she spotted her target, an 18 wheel monster of a big rig moving at a fast pace. Still sprinting she pulled a head of it just slightly and met with the entrance to the overpass. Jumping as high as she could she cleared the two lanes of traffic on the small bridge and landed firmly on the chain link railing.
"Here goes nothing!"
With everything she had left she vaulted off of the overpass to the highway below. Time seemed to slow down, and even the wind against her face seemed to disappear. The ecstasy of free fall flight wasn't comparable to anything she had ever known. She watched as the truck started pulling ahead slightly, its large con-ex rear getting larger by the second. Her heart sunk as the rear disappeared completely revealing the blurred grey of the highway's rough and grainy surface.
"Shit."
A small car came into the blurred view and a renewed sense of drive hit. Repositioning so that her legs were straight she let her arms dangle freely controlling her fall. This was going to work, it had to, or else she'd be in a lot of pain come tomorrow.
"Shit!"
Her feet hit the trunk of the car instantly caving it in. There was a brief sense of relief that was quickly replaced by fear and panic when she felt her right leg buckle. There was a sickening crunch and crack followed by pained howling as she fell backward off the car. She could have sworn that she heard screaming in her ear as her head met the roads surface first, followed by her back. There was nothing but the feeling of spinning and brief sharp impacts for what seemed like an eternity, disorientation the only feeling present. Then, almost instantly, nothing. Everything was silent and dark and for a brief second she thought she might have truly ?gotten dead?.
Opening her eyes seemed like a great chore, and to keep calm when seeing nothing but blackness was an ever greater one.
"HEY! HEY! ARE YOU THERE? ARE YOU STILL THERE? COME ON! ANSWER ME!" Came the voice in her ear.
"I'm here kid I'm here." she muttered quietly.
"Jesus! You scared the life out of me."
"You weren't the only one."
"Ha ha. Get up and out of there before the 'you know who' busts out onto the highway."
"I can't."
"What do you mean you can't? Are you hurt?" Worry evident in his voice.
"It doesn't matter now..." Things were starting to get hazy. "You have to get Kyub and Hawk to the safe house we agreed on."
"I'll come for you, I'll come and get you, just hold-"
"Listen to me." She interrupted. Her voice was stern, cold, and calculating. he knew there was no arguing now. "Follow the orders I assigned you and you'll come out of all this alive."
"But-"
*God I really hate how stupidly kind he can be, it'll get him killed if he doesn't watch it.* She thought. "I'll be fine, you just have to trust me."
There was silence for a moment and then a sigh of understanding.
"I trust you."
"Hey... kid..." Her breaths were getting short and hard.
"Yeah?"
"Sorry about yelling at you the other... *cough* day."
She didn't give him time to respond. Removing the ear piece and locater beacon she threw them to the side. The darkness invaded
her senses and the silence became horribly infinite.

"Is she going to make it?" Another strange voice said.
"I can't tell yet, but both of her legs looks weird, and there's a lot of blood coming from her head."
The injured woman felt disconnected and her vision felt blurry, and everything seemed to pound with excruciatingly real pain. Opening her eyes all the way she was surprised to be staring into the helmet of a very familiar pink hard suit. Suppressing the urge to hug the woman she tried sitting up. A gloved hand pushed her gently back down.
"Don't, please, your hurt bad and you need help."
"Never mind the pain." Kiai started groggily, a trickle blood escaping the corner of her mouth.
"Just stay there please." The hard suit commanded. A hand reached for a medical pack and removed some gauze and medical tape.
"Hurry the hell up! We can't stay here!" Another modulated voice screamed from behind her.
"Hold on for just a second!" She said back. The pink hard suit didn't move for a few seconds, it seemed deep in thought.
"I'm sorry I'm burdening you."
"Nonsense, that's not right at all." The hardsuit voiced came again.
Her vision began blurring with the crimson red of what could have only been blood. Trying to lift a hand up it was batted away gently.

A hand pushed a lock of hair out of her blood soaked eye and darted back almost instantly. A red glow escaped from the eye socket.
"Prosthetics?" She asked, trying to wave away the obvious. The injured woman's face dropped into defeat.
"No." *shit*
A small click and then a high pitched whine came from behind the pink hard suit.
"Saber Red, step away." Came a strong and concise voice.
It did as it was told. The grey hard suit stepped gracefully into view.
"Maybe you can explain this?" She held out the locater beacon. Tossing it to the ground she crushed it with an armored boot.
"I'm going to need some time to fully explain-"
"Time is a commodity I definitely cannot afford to waste." It interrupted. "I will have an answer now, or I will be forced to destroy you." She emphasized "destroy" by letting the deafening crack of a laser discharge sear through the air. The blast lit up the dark area and revealed the ensuing carnage she had created with her organized fall from the overpass. A car had sat upside down, the driver decapitated with blue sparks shooting and arching from the neck, next to another car that was a tangled mess of steel and metal. They were interrogating her in the mouth of some sort of access tunnel adjacent to the highway.
"Those were both boomers, and whether or not you were assigned to exterminate them I do not care.
"I was not sent to kill them."
"Once again that is irrelevant and I WILL ascertain from you what you know about us, and more importantly who sent you." The grey saber boomed.
"I can tell you I don't work for anyone at the moment, but then again you know I'm a boomer, so that's not too believable is it?" Kiai managed to choke out.
"No mindless idiot runs without someone to tell them to do something. I had a scan run on you just a second ago and as far as I can tell your nothing even close to Genom's production models." There was a brief pause as the grey hard suit let that sink in. "Which leads me to believe that someone without the funds necessary has put a hit out on us."
"I can tell you honestly that you've got the wrong idea and that I don't work for anyone." Kiai said, fear beginning to build.
The leader raised her laser hand up again and let it charge menacingly.
"I'm telling you the honest to god truth I wasn't sent by-"
There was another flash of blue light as a thin beam of energy pierced the girls left arm. Seconds later it melted, revealing the sinewy synthetic muscle and flesh. What followed could only be described as the most bloodcurdling scream anyone of the knight sabers had ever heard, it was too hauntingly real to just ignore.
"Jesus Christ Sylia! The green saber blurted out.
There was another staccato report as another beam severed the arm completely, another wave of screaming erupting from the poor woman. The bicep was sickeningly too real to look at, the synthetic material charred and and cauterized into a picture not that much different then the pictures the local morgue posted on road rage adverts. The burns introduced just a few minutes before in the explosion blistered and boiled at the edge of the wound.
"You have no god you... You... Thing." The grey saber mumbled out.
?Sylia what the hell are you doing?!? The pink Saber spoke up, then immediately clutched her hands to her face realizing her mistake.
Their comms turned off, and what seemed like a silent disciplinary action was exchanged in pantomime between them. Turning back to the woman writhing in pain on the ground the grey saber appeared unaffected.
"Please tell whoever sent you to not waste my time. I have neither the resources, nor the patience to deal with such useless shit."
The grey hard suit turned and was about to leave when she noted the tears streaming down the boomer womans cheeks. It seemed real, much too real, she thought to herself as a small shudder ran down her back.
"I'M A FUCKING REAL PERSON GOD DAMMIT!" The injured woman bellowed. A small drop of blood leaking from the uncauterized portion of the wound. It was staining the pavement and adding an all to familiar stench to the air. The grey hard suit turned and began walking back to the transport.
"I'm real... I'm real... Please god just let them know I was real." Kiai repeated over and over again. "I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry..." She was clutching the nub with her right hand trying her very best keep from going into shock.
Sylia turned instantly and lunged with a low kick to the womans stomach. Blood erupted from her mouth as an armored boot pulverized her ribs.
"DON'T YOU DARE MOCK ME, DON'T YOU EVEN DARE THINK ABOUT IT!" Sylia sounded absolutely insane-control might have been a far off concept before, but at that point she was deaf to the world. "YOU BASTARDS RUINED SO MANY LIVES ITS DISGUSTING AND NOW YOU EXPECT RECOGNITION BECAUSE YOUR SENTIENT AND CAN PICK WHO YOUR GOING TO FUCK WITH NEXT? THERE'S NO FUCKING WAY!"
More merciless kicks and soon the boomer woman wasn't screaming anymore. The red hard suit interrupted and pushed the grey hard suit away, which was restrained by the blue and green hard suits.
?I don't care if she is a boomer, no one, not even a non sentient being deserves to be treated this way.? She cradled the young boomer woman in her arms, keeping her from harms way.
"You get that god damn abomination into the mobile pit. If I can't interrogate it here we'll do it back at base. Let's go." Sylia stormed off pushing the blue and green hard suits away.
