Hm, many friends of mine went to the movie and loved it all. They're not die hard fans or know little about the transformers series/comics/whatever. It all ended with good results and actually, they're trying to get their hands on the original series by now.

tho I'm not sure what people outside the US think about all the 'face time' the US Military had in the film, especially the US Navy. Not so much US Army and the Marine Corps (sry kim). US Air Force, yeah, a good amount

Well you can't expect a teenage girl in 2007 to like something that was designed for preteen boys back in 1984... or at least ones who have grown up since watching it back then. Of course there are people like Rach who can actually wrap their heads around the concept and appreciate it all.

Ok. Now i'm thinking that my friends here are different from the rest of the world. Like i said before, i took some friends to watch (the age differs from 24 to 17) and they all loved the movie XD

After all, you can't just match 1984 with 2007. Everything is different. From hair styles to what people order in a restaurant! Ya gotta face the facts that what you've seen in the cartoon or the comics about 20 years ago won't work now! The movie was not made ONLY for fans. It has to gather people who didn't even know what transformers is all about.
