I would have to agree on certain style elements, but the super mechanicle doll spy is a turn off, especially how they have parts of themselves in to weapons. I don't mind pulling a gun out of your hand, but when its actually your joint where you pop your elbow off, it looks very manequin like. The soviet thing I am not really sure on, all the bad guys look very similar, soviet or not.
And wow, they sure got in to the weird fetish of the bad guys right away off the bat with the first episode. And costume design for the spies was kinda impractical: Go-go skirts and boots with little sleave coverage? Not really cold enviornment looking, even for a cyborg. And attempting a little fan service with the little lemur in the chest is kind of cheap, even for a clevage shot.
