We all know that new anime are getting sucked into the evil vortex of evilness (a.k.a. extreme repetitiveness); cartoons (animation not from Japan) have long been in that downward spiral. I'd like to know if any of you have seen new cartoons that show promise, i.e. maybe they introduced a new formula to their genre, or used the same formula but managed to make interesting quirks about it. Let's keep the list to cartoons made 2001 and onwards. Remakes or new seasons of old cartoons are not accepted, as they have an existing formula before 2001.
Invader Zim is on the top of my list. Followed closely by Ben 10, Billy and Mandy, and The Avatar. I've watched Johnny Test as well, and I've taken a liking to it. I'll explain more later... for now, DISCUSS!!!
