Yeah, not only do studios not have to worry about converting film into VHS tapes since a lot of movies these days are immediately converted into a digital format, but they already plan the DVD release as they're making the movie. They already have all of the extras and all the usual jazz sorted out well before the movie is actually released and they know they can sell more DVDs when the hype of the movie is still in full effect.
