Uh, Rebel. Sony is rereleasing PS1 games over the net so that people can download them and store them on their PS3 and PSP. Most people don't have PS1 games anymore. Then the PS3 can play PS2 discs... cause it was just the last generation.
Wii can play GCN discs... because they were last generation. Then the NES/SNES/N64/MSX/Turbografix/Genesis games are available to download from Nintendo's online store. None of the virtual console games are being rereleased on discs because none of them require that much space to run. The largest virtual console games you will find are the N64 games which are 16MB on average.
So how many people really own all of those legacy games? I know some do, and they have the console that can play those games too sitting there collecting dust. But the great majority has sold off those old games and console hardware and updated to the new stuff... so having Sony releasing PS1 games over the net and Nintendo releasing NES/SNES/N64/MSX/Turbografix/Genesis games over the net is a VERY good idea for both companies and those involved.
The virtual console games are stored on the Wii's 512MB flash memory and can be transfered to an SD card you insert into the front of the Wii behind that little flap. And once you buy those games, they're yours forever, if you decide to delete the game from your system, the game is still yours, Nintendo has recorded your purchase and you can download it again for free later.
And finally, yes I did say something about games... never said they sucked though, nor did I say that Sony made them worse, all I said was that those extra features don't necessarily make games better. However I fully acknowledge the fact that the PS3 is a powerhouse and in past discussions have said that the graphical and overall power of PS3 is impressive and that if developers can find a way to use that power, which will be extremely difficult, we'll see games some damn huge and exansive games. I've even said this to you MSN.
