I'm honestly pretty sick of the PS3 bashing everywhere too. How about we try to match the features of the PS3 with an XBOX 360? You could do something like this; (in $US)

XBOX 360 Premium: $400
-The top of the line system, with all of the goody-goodies
Play and Charge Kit: $20
-Unless you like buying AA batteries all the time.
Wireless Module: $100
-Might not need to be included, I'm not sure if the PS3 can connect to a wireless network or if its just for the PSP.
HD-DVD add-on: $200
What, you want to play some nice HD movies on your console in 1080P?

Total: $720 (or $620 without wireless)

Then there's the additional 40GB of HDD space and no need for proprietary memory cards... oh, and that magic Linux thing that does so much. Of course the 360 has the crap beat out of PS3 when it comes to online.

As you can see, things can be twisted in the favor of whatever side you're on. Me, I don't give a damn. Buy what you want... but people need to stop bitching about the PS3 just because it's the PS3. We get it already... go play with your Wii or something.
