I just got Metroid Prime Pinball just now... and I gotta say, it's surprisingly good. Basically, it's Metroid Prime, the GameCube game, converted into a Pinball DS game.... but it's not your average pinball game, it's a combat pinball game which makes it very interesting indeed
I love how good it feels. I don't like most pinball videogames cause they just don't feel right, but this does. How? It's all thanks to the Rumble Pak which is included with the game. It's this GBA cartridge that plugs into the GBA slot of the DS and rumbles (duh). And the rumbles it produces make you feel like your DS is an actual pinball machine, it really does help you get into the feel of things and helps you a lot. The rumbles also help you determine the weight and power of the morphbal and so much more.
There's a missions mode, a standard mode and multiplayer, which I have yet to try... I wish this game was WiFi enabled though cause it'd be cool to play people over the net or something XD But I guess at the moment you're thinking "multiplayer pinball?" Well the way it works is that everyone has their own pinball table and they're all competing to get to the specified highscore.
Oh, oh, oh and another cool thing about this game is the music. Damn the music is so damn good, so, so, damn good. I wish there was just a music player mode where you could just listen to all of the tracks XD lol.
This is one of those games that'll last for quite a long time simply because it follows the oldskool videogame ways. After you unlock all the levels, defeat all of the bosses, etc, etc... the most important thing about this game is beating the highscore
I hope a Metroid Prime Pinball 2 is made based on Metroid Prime 2 cause this is one surprisingly fun game
