Yeah, so um, OOPSIES! hehe (scratches head), We went on what was suppose to be a 3 month training exercise, that eventually turned into a full scale unit deployment. Having been updated that we would be inserted in a combat zone, I don't think anyone would have guessed on what happened... The c130 I was on had come in for a landing at one of the bases in okinawa for our eventual 4 hour lay over. Landing, yeah right! Wholy shit! When your on the opposite side of the cargo hold and can see the centerline of the landing strip out the opposite window, you know that something has to be wrong. Okinawa gets pretty windy, especially with it being that close to the sea. So uh, yeah, the thing almost did a nose dive into the tarmac. Safe to say, we finally made it to Tindel australia, but only after spending a week on a boat. A couple of our pilots think their hot shit, so we let them fly for the first time at an altitude dangerously low. Think about an f18 traveling mach 3 less then 100 feet off of the ground. Think about what a new pilot would do if said aircraft were to lose and engine. That's one jet down. Then there was an incident when a pilot decided it as a good idea to bring a three litre bottle of water in the cockpit. Great, only with the maneuvers they pull if the bottle opens it shorts out any and all electrical systems on board. Kay, yet another broke jet. General malfunctions laden with just general neglect based on the PILOTS actions. EWWW I WANT TO FUCKING SCREAM! So based around a dwindling supply of flyable aircraft, the possible risk of a major safety breach, and an absolute neglect of liberty calls... Well the co just said fuck it. Two months aint bad on a training exercise. Much better then a year or two in the desert.
oh yeah and...
IM BACK FUCKERS!

But in awesomer news, Kiai is back. That's like awesome plus two! Welcome back and stuff.
Australia was a blur of good times (katherine was the smallest town I've ever been to) and blur of not so good times (darwin was cool, but the rainy season sucks!) you aussies sure know how to treat people I tell ya!
(in best australian accent) Awe hell, clear a seat for the yanks so we can have a drink off!
It was so nice being able to understand what people were saying. Japan's nice, but me not being able to speak a lick of japanese makes it a bit difficult at times. Too bad i couldn't go anywhere but Darwin and Tindel though...
