you know what they could do is not make the old games compatible, and continue making ps2's for more or less the current running price

They so could, but I doubt Sony would go THAT far since the PS3 is being touted as your jack of all trades media hub that can do anything even pleasure you machine...

heh, the Smash Brothers series is about my favorite game on the various Nintendo consoles. I like Link, he has a much more I'm gonna kick your ass" look. I KNOW one of my friends will get the Wii, so I'll just go there and play on his.
btw, Lynk if you didnt mean past gundam games what did you mean?

Oh no nevermind, I was assuming that there were past Gundam games on older Nintendo and Sega consoles. You'd think there would be but I can't seem to find any now that I've checked, which I find odd actually.
As for Link, I hope they make him a little faster this time around.

There were some crappy VS games on the Japanese version of the Nintendo tho(you can get them as emulator thingies). However Bandai and Sony seem to be good buddies, so I imagine their games will stay on Sony consoles, however, this is only in "western" nations, there are LOTS more gundam games that have never made it to the states.

Remember Rebel, Namco Bandai lol... and it's not Square Enix, it's Square Enix Taito lol, well actually it is just Square Enix, but Taito was bought by them awhile ago...
In any case, the 360 could use all the Japanese support it can get since it's doing so horribly in Japan.

bah, Enix ruined Square IMO. Also I'm just anti Microsoft, heh, I feel soooo not bad for them not doing well in japan.
I dont relaly have anything against Namco, they're a pretty good game maker, I just happen to have given up on the only game of theirs I ever bought...namely Xenosaga.

Well this is something I'm glad to see happening on the net after E3... before people were so certain that like the PS2, the PS3 would be king of the nextgen... but now no one is sure what to expect. This is very good, everyone has been brought down to the same level and it's an even match.
I hope very much that the next generation of consoles will be as exciting as the SNES VS Genesis days. Those two consoles were neck and neck and both had a selection of kickass games.... man those were the days lol.

consoles are nothing compared to the ultimate gaming platform - PC!
I've never been a console gamer, so I guess I'll just wait and see, but for me the raw power that the PS3 promises is just too much to resist.

Raw power = boring. I've played videogames long enough to realise that. But anywayz, PCs are so inaccessable, I mean there's too much effort to play a game on PC. With a console you just put the disc in and it works... that's why people like consoles. Of course if Sony and Microsoft have their way then things will get just as complicated as PC gaming... x.x guh.
