I had my first test in my final course here in FL for the US Navy
I scored a 68% on the test, not that I'm tweaking about it or anything, but usualy the first tests are the worst.
besides, its an advanced course and the passing grade is an 80%
So, my punishment til i retest on monday is to go though manditory study... (where i get to go back to the class after hours in uniform to, yeah, study for at least an extra hour or so, actually it's like 2 hours, but i bailed on 1 )
how lovely.
I hate tests, I am a good student but do poorly on tests. I have my AP Chemistry test on May 10 to see if I get college credit for the course, and my ACT is in a week or two, for college admissions.
From that I gather that you're...an 11th grade student?
well best of luck! although I think I will wish you greater luck closer to the actual dates, in case it disappates before then.
Yep, 11th Grade. I can't wait until this year is over, it's been hell. My grades are the worst they have ever been, and it's the most important year of high school.
high school was so long ago for me XD
but still this place where I'm at, sometimes i cant tell
...well other then the level of test scores pass/fail and well,... other things :P
pass/fail is the greatest invention to come out of any university.
how luxuriously simple, and liberatingly opaque -- you just have to pass, no worrying about what mark you have, whether you'll manage an A, or if you'll have that nasty D on your transcript.
Paradise
well, there are always an honor grad.
and good grades gives you the oportunity to work on cool projects or paid studies on other university/country...........it also helps with getting a job XD

I got a 171 on my LSAT.
Woo.

Woo. Is that good? XD
You've read it! You can't unread it!
I didnt, and dont plan on ever taking the SAT or SAT II or ACT. Waste of time, and it only shows how poorly I test, not how well I understand the material. Timed tests are even worse. I left highschool with a good base in Trig, I tested into geometry or lower on my college placement tests.

I am a Member, Not a Number!!!
Heh, I'm still not sure if I made the right choice by not joining the navy... or any of the other branches of the military for that matter. I could have done anything I wanted because of my ASVAB score... but that anything turned into nothing. Helll, they kept calling me until my score finally expired.
I'm the complete opposite of you Moelman, I always did terrible in class but I was there to shock them with my test scores.
Anyways, good luck on your re-test Scar.
you see, unlike the army of the air force
the Navy takes care of you, and not just gives ya a pay check and health benfiets
I always tell future Marines, or people thinking about the service in general that the military is not for everyone. It takes a good amount of sacrifice, tolerance for a great deal of jackasses, and most of all patience. As an electrician/comunications-navigations technician I know what it it's like to take hard tests. A good idea would be to take advantage of your mando study and hit the books... hard. Its best that you learn now, cause when you get out there and you need to know all that extra crap it'll already be implanted in your brain. Don't sweat the tests, I now how all that works-going through school and all that. Take your time, think things out, and kick test ass.
Oh yeah, and don't go to korea in winter time. The end.
bah, i passed by re-test, no more mando.
just took another test, most likey i passed
Woo 171.
So you're interested in becoming a law-yer. Cool.
By the way Rebel, I kind of have to agree with you about the SAT, because i think it's far too open to students just studying how to take the test getting 1600 (or 2400) rather than being a real measure of your academic ability.
That said...what kind of post-secondary education in the US doesn't require SAT scores? Don't you pretty much have no choice?
*rereads posts* you a grunt kiai?

Just got done taking the ACT. Wasn't too bad, everything was pretty easy for me except some of the math questions and one part on the science section. We don't get out scores for 4-7 weeks >_>
my third test score was a 91.38 or something around there.
whoo!
In Queensland, we don't get tests like that. Which is kind of good and bad.
Good:
The fact that we don't have the exams.
Soo... less stress, less fuss, etc.
Bad:
We don't get to see how we're going compared to other people.
We don't get an official rating of our skills/knowledge/etc.
And there's a pile of other stuff... damn. I hate exams. The QCS is gonna be a killer.
