well...I'm not sure where else to put this, but I've been playing this little game for awhile, and I felt I should share.
It seems to me that a lot of people on this board are very strong about their positions on various social, political, and economic issues -- about how they'd like to see countries run, and everything like that.

Well, Nation States
is a website that will let you create your own nation, and then every day you can choose a certain position on a political or social or economic issue (e.g. do we allow abortion? do we allow it only in cases of rape? do we pursue an anti-choice policy?), and your selected stance will affect the growth of your country. This is really cool not only in that it lets you do all the things you wish your government would do, but also to let you see what a country run by you might look like in the long run.

There's also a UN where every nation in the entire game can gather to vote on certain issues, and there's quite a bit more in there (read the faq if you're interested)

I just finished making mine, just click for The Empire of Seburo. I'm horribly unoriginal too. The name comes from a weapons company found in many of Masamune Shirow's works. The motto is from the state of Mississippi, I really liked it and wanted to use it. Also... Seburo dollar.

I had a nation there ages ago...but I was never into the RPG part of it. If they had a "risk-style-map" that was intractive and such I'd definatly get back in, but text-based was never my thing.
