Well the games are currently on in Melbourne and I'm sure countries that are part of the Commonwealth would know about this. This is a place to discuss all the things going during the Games from the Opening Ceremony to the Closing Ceremony.

To start off I'll say I'm not surprised with Australia's medal tally lol seeing how much we got from the last Commonwealth games. The only real event that I usually tune in to watch are the swimming competitions. It was pretty cool to see Australia have 3 clean sweeps from the female team XD, the male team is doing alright but with Ian Thorpe and Grant Hackett out of action it's been pretty dry with only 1 male winning a gold medal from the swimming competition so far.

Now going a bit further back to the opening ceremony, it was pretty normal honestly, nothing much to note except for the flying tram which I was laughing seeing the sparks it caused when it was flying in lol. The ceremony wasn't that long which is a good thing considering they didn't drag it out like the Sydney Olympic's opening ceremony. I guess the only real highlight for me from that was Delta's performance of Together We Are One with all those fireworks and sparks going around her, I would've thought she'd suffer from the smoke seeing you could barely see her through those.

I have to say Australia is pretty dominant in the Commonwealth games because there's no USA, China, Russia and other European countries lol. Now who here has been keeping up with the games? I've got other stories yet to be told while going around in Melbourne during the games like an incident on a tram XD.

LOL To be honest, I haven't paid any attention to the games at all and it's happening near where I live. I missed the opening ceremony cause I was too busy playing Star Fox Assault and I really don't need to watch anything else cause like you said, Australia is dominating lol.

The competition would be more fun to watch if there was the US lol and my mum says there's possibly gonna be a terrorist attack somewhere near the closing days of the games lol.

I was going to go see the Rugby 7's, but missed out on tickets, my sisters have been to the gymnastics, one is at the athletics right now and will be at the netball on Thursday. The tv has been stuck on games coverage since the opening and thats about it at my neck of the woods
