Hiya Guys
Just a bit of a fun topic do you have any pets if so what? and how did they come about their names?
Me I have two white german shepard's a puppy (7 weeks old) called Ares and a 3 year old called Yoda.
Ares was so named because Ares just rocks as does this dog! Plus he has a general attitude that things must be destroyed(Specifically his arch-enemy socks..).
And Yoda picked up the name because even as a puppy and still now he occasional gets this look on his face like hes thinking and it mimics the real Yoda's face when he comes out with some force wisdom I keep expecting "Rubbish this food you feed me is.."
Anyway here they are my boys!
Well ares anyway cant find a pic of Yoda ill get one and amend this post ^_^
My mum bought a rabbit for me and my older sister back when we were really young (like around 6 or 7 years old) and we only had it for about two days before we lost it.
I think it ran away or got attacked by a cat from one of the neighbours as we never saw it again. Since that, we haven't really thought about getting one but if we do...I'd like to get a cat. Mainly cos I find cat faces funny for some reason XD.

XD @ Analog's zoo.
I haven't got any pets at the moment, except for Kim.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
I have 2 cats, Ming and pochi
Ming is really snobby but he has a soft side and always sleeps beside me at night and sleep in top of my cpu at daytime.
Pochi is really playful so playfull that he will chase anything that move.
I have 5 no 7 dogs but I will not mention them much for some reasons.
I have two cats, and I think they have piccies in the picture thread. The black and white one is Ermine, and the striped orange one is Nibbler.
Ermine used to look like... er, an ermine <__< when he was a kitten.
Nibbler liked nibbling on our feet when he was a kitten. And he still does.
They're brothers, are gay little cats, and are turning 3 human years old on March '08.
~ You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard. ~
I have a cat called Hamish =P
Its not actually mine though but he follows me round and sits on me and stuff sometimes XD
His name come from some Scottish person or something XD
We have a dog too and he is called Curly because of his curly tail/that was his name when we got him i think XD
Nice pet Lynk is she playful?

2 pets, a cat and a dog. Got a chocolate Burmese kitten when I was 6-7, she ended up "Scamper" because she only ever stood still to eat. Had a particular fondness for people's feet in the mornings, but now she prefers to take over your bed.
Midnight's my grandmother's dog, so named because he's black, though I call him Little Bear when he's in full coat. He's used to be very nervous but now he's turning into a cheeky little bugger in his old age XD
@ Chim: Hamish isn't a big ginger tabby is he?
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?
Oh yeah, I had a dog, German Shepherd/Doberman, her name was Jedda which is an Australian Aboriginal name.

Thanks Chim, you've just helped to prove my theory that all cats named Hamish are ginger tabbies XP

4 fishes (they're carps, not sure the variety, maybe koi) in a 150lt aquarium, they're almost 20cm long, they like to destroy any plant that I put in *sighs*
2 white pigeons, and my scorpion Dione, a Tityus Trivittatus, is a poisonous scorpion common in Argentina that I couldn't bring myself to kill. Is just 5cm long.

11 November 2007, 1:53 AM
well it will sting you if you poke it ......
ah, you meant a pokemon battle
@Dama: well, yes... since leaving it roaming around freely is worse than keeping it secure... no worries though! its poison isn't that powerful, is dangerous to kids, and it's really shy, the media always make it look like some sort of aggressive baby hunter.

Had a small white dog follow my mom and little sister to our flat yesterday, I didn't know about it until my younger sister told me. It just sat outside the front of our door with a lost look begging to come in, only problem was that my mom didn't want to let it in and we weren't looking for a pet anyway. The dog was also shivering from the windy weather so me and my lil sis got a small jacket and towel and put it on the dog.
It also looked hungry and thirsty so I gave small piece of avocado sushi but I don't think it wanted to eat that (mom brought home a sushi pack since she knows I like eating those XD-we didn't have any doggy treats since we don't have a pet anyway), I also put out a small bowl of water for the dog too which it did drink a little.
Since we live in a flat, I assumed the dog's owner must've also lived in the same flat as we did so we waited for someone to turn up looking for their dog. After about 20 minutes and nobody turned up I was considering on calling the RSPCA (a national animal care organization here in Australia) to report on a lost dog but at the last minute decided to knock around my neighbours doors and ask if the dog was theirs.
When I tried to pick up and carry the dog to go around asking my neighbours I thought the dog would run away but it was pretty gentle and I carried it with ease. The dog didn't even make any fuss as I carried it lol. Asking the neighbours ended up with no help since none of them were the owners of the dog and they didn't know who the owner was.
It was on my way back to our house that an asian guy came running up the stairs and I asked if he was the owner of the dog. Luckily he turned out to be the actual owner so I didn't have to go forth with calling the RSPCA. Of course he thanked me and my lil sis when we returned his dog.
Just felt like posting this XD.

My scorpion died!
I don't know how long do they live, but I had it for more than an year, so it may got old or sick or both.
Anyway, picture of her: she was so cute!
tip: scorpions with thin, long pincers indicates strong poison

We have a number of pets at home, but my personal pets are as follows;
Broomstick (Tortoiseshell Cat - female)
7 snakes: (2 Kingsnakes + 5 Cornsnakes)
Slytherin (Black Cornsnake - female - 4 1/2' long)
Anubis (Mexican Black Kingsnake - male? - 3 1/2' long)
Florida Kingsnake (male? - forgotten length & name)
Demon (Black Corn/Ratsnake hybrid - female?)
Neo (Orange Cornsnake - female?)
Othello (Albino Cornsnake - male)
Snakespeare (Yellow/orange Cornsnake - male?)
I can never remember the lengths of the smaller snakes and I've forgotten the Florida King's name.
Oh, I've also got a female Common Lizard named Tabitha and female Slow-worm (legless lizard) named Slips.
(BTW- all tortoiseshell cats are female and all ginger cats are male. neat huh?)
