Finally LucasArts uncovers what game they have been continually hinting at to be a "Wii lightsaber game". And it was right under our noses! I never thought they would announce this since they've been insisting that it was only for Xbox and PS3 along with PS2, PSP and DS, but I'm glad they did. I know Force Unleashed isn't going to be a 40-hour epic but it should still be very fun to use the Wiimote as a lightsaber and the nunchuck to control force powers.

Back on LucasForums I predicted a few things about The Force Unleashed.

The first thing that I laugh out loud about is the fact that LucasArts has confirmed to me that they won't touch Wii with a 40foot pole and it took Krome Studios (an Australian developer) to get TFU on Wii.

When I first saw TFU and saw that it wasn't being released for Wii (back then), I was pretty pissed off, but now I'm kinda thinking that I'd rather it didn't come to Wii since it's just a port... Wii needs more exclusive games built fromt he ground up for the system, it's the only way the abilities of the console will be realised...

LucasArts was talking about a Lightsaber game being released for Wii in previous months... I really hope this isn't it, I was expecting something more... oh well. It's still something I guess.

Don't knock LEGO Star Wars, it's fun and creative... which is what LEGO is all about really lol.

But touting LEGO Star Wars as the fabled lightsaber game for Wii is what is bullshit.

I think fans assumed the lightsaber game was LEGO when they came out and said there would be motion controls for the Wii version. When in fact I think they were eluding about Force Unleashed for Wii.
