So, anyone heres that happens to be into the Pokémon games? I've gotten my first game, PKMN Blue for Xmas back in 1998, followed by Red on my 12th B-Day, then followed in the year by Yellow and PKMN Snap. Then in 2000 I got Pokémon Stadium and the Trading Card game for GB/C, and Gold & Silver. In 2001 I started collecting the PKMN Neo Trading cards, having 2 Feraligatr cards in my collection and lots of other Pokémon that were from the first series of the card game, then stopped buying anymore PKMN stuff till 2003 when I got Pokémon Sapphire, then in Xmas 2004, got Leaf Green. And Dec-Jan 05-06, I got Colosseum and XD. Beaten both games and now just getting a team ready for Mt. Battle back on Colo.
Here's my team for the Mt. Battle and other level 50 cups so far...
Jidirah (Walrein) Level 50
Water Pulse, Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard
Zekinu (Ampharos) Level 43 (Working to 50)
Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave and Double Team
Macey (Poochyena) Level 12 (Evolving and working to 50)
Moves pending.
Jikyo (Linoone) Level 50
Slash, Return, Double Team and thinking of another move...
Milotic Level 50
Water Pulse, Surf, Ice Beam and Rain Dance
(6th PKMN to be decided - thinking of a Sealeo...)
Well, discuss...

I used to play the gameboy blue and silver versions all the time but I grew out of them and am not really interested in them anymore. I used to watch the show all the time and I loved it though. I guess the gameboy games can still be fun from time to time, but overall I'm not intersted in it anymore.
I have not played a single one of those games and don't plan to. I stopped playing pokemon years ago.

I was into the card-game thing for a while, never was any good. Played one of the N64 pokemon games, wasnt any good either.

I don't know the Japanese names of mine lol I sold my gameboy versions on Ebay a few weeks ago and don't play my sp much anymore so I haven't played in ages but in sapphire the last time I played I got the fire started which was a girl and I'm told you have like a 20% chance of getting a girl starter lol

When I got Leaf Green, I kept reseting the game until I finally got a female Squirtle. Then after I finally beaten the game, I decided to go to one of the Sevii Islands to breed my now level 60-70 Blastoise with another Pokémon or a Ditto to get as many Squirtle as needed so I could move it over to Sapphire later on... Gotta love having Pokémon Box as a way to move a monster from one game to another...

When the nest true Pokemon sequals come out for the DS i'm jumping back onto the Pokemon bandwagon. But at the moment the games have my respect as being very kickass RPGs.

I love Blue and Silver.... but what I have is Red and Silver though T_T
~ You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard. ~
I just started playing my silver version today, and I've been playing my blue for the past couple of weeks The games are very fun ineed, even after all these years of not watching the anime.
Hmmm, I missed this thread somehow. The only Pokemon game I ever played was Blue way back when it came out. I actually was borrowing it from my neighbor and was very close to finishing the game... when tragedy struck. His friend started a new game!
I never played Pokemon again.
I actually was looking into getting the GBA remakes (probably Fire Red and Sapphire), but I lost interest again. Maybe I'll pick them up when I get a DS.
I haven't played the GBA titles, but I suggest you try Silver ^^ I love Pokemon breeding...all those cute, useless critters..hehe

It's funny how strongly the DS is doing, but we all know that once a true Pokemon RPG sequal is released the DS will end up breaking many records. Pokemon has such a scary power behind it.

My damn silver version is broken it seems! I started a new game yesterday and played for about and hour, and when I went to play again later it said my save was corrupted! So I started another new game, and now today the continue option is not even there I'm pretty upset about this
The battery may have run out. The game did keep real time after all and the battery doesn't last forever...
You've read it! You can't unread it!
I assume you mean the battery in the game. Yeah, that's possible, I remember so long ago, I got the game the first day it came out
The first Pokemon game I bought was Silver, but I had played Red and Yellow earlier. IMO the Gold/Silver/Cyrstal generation was the best. It had all the original gameplay elements plus more but didn't get too complicated. The newer Pokemon games have so much that it's impossible to complete EVERYTHING in the game, and that kinda bugs me lol. But in any case, when the next generation of Pokemon RPGs finally comes out on the Nintendo DS I'm so gonna get it and get back into training those lil critters. And you can bet that there will be online battles happening
Pokemon is the best franchise to go online and to be turned into an MMORPG.

Online play would be sweet
if it's gonna be OL, they have to put more monsters in there...and I sure hope we get to customize our characters and not pick from "Ash", "Misty", "Brock"...etc...that'd be lame....didn't know a lot of grown up people still liked Pokemon ^^ hehe
@lynk
I thought the only thing annoying about Silver/Gold was the 'catching the Dogs' part... who let those dogs out?!!!!!! ><

The new versions (like Emerald and Sapphire and Ruby) allow you to choose your gender and type in your own name. I'm sure you can capture the original pokemon as well.
I only play it cos... <.< those are the easiest ones to get, but I _did_ manage to procure Final Fantasy Tactics Advance the other day.

I am at the moment playing Leaf Green, and attempting to have my friend return my Link Cable, which he's had for a year or two. Then I'll be able to trade with my friends who have Fire Red.
Then, I'm going to buy Emerald before I go on vacation on Memorial Weekend. Then I'll trade all of my Leaf Green Pokemon in there, and be set for a while. It'll be sweet.
I was annoyed by Pokemon when it was released back in the 90´s and I´m annoyed by it even today:P
The hype surrounding Pokemon is annoying (darn those rabid children!)... but the game is fun, and innovative for its time.
~ You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard. ~
I guess you gotta live with that though, I mean there must be quite a few people who genuinily like the mechanics and all about Final Fantasy but they're surrounded by rabid fanboys and girls who lust about how pretty the characters look.

Just to tell people who are interested there is an online pokemon game where you can battle people live from all over the world, pokemoncrater.com
When Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is finally released for the NintendoDS you'll be able to play people online, but with much MUCH more
You've read it! You can't unread it!
I'm waiting for Diamond and Pearl to come out... those are going to be awesome.
I finally got my Milotic yesterday... I'm so happy!
Nintendo announced and showed off a little bit of the Wii version of Pokemon called Pokemon Battle Revolution... which looks bloody awesome! The Pokemon actually perform attacks on each other this time. For example, a Pikachu will actually run upto an opponents Pokemon and tackle them instead of the old way of just bumping forward on the spot.
And of course there will be connectivity between the Wii and DS.

Hmm... That's new. When did they announce this?
You've read it! You can't unread it!
Thanks, I hadn't heard about that yet!
Sounds pretty sweet! Hopefully I'll be getting a DS lite when they come out over here.
The DS lite is already out in the US isn't it?... *checks* hey what the hell it isn't... WAIT A SECOND! AUSTRALIA GOT THE DS LITE BEFORE THE US?! AHAHAH XD Excellent.
You guys get it a few days from now...

You guys get it a few days from now... Yeah that's why I was surprised when you told me you had gotten one already, and they're not even out over here.
I'll be getting one of those, hopefully soon. It comes out June 11th, correct?
But yeah, I've got enough money saved up to get myself one, so that's cool.

Pokemon Stadium was pretty sweet. I used to play the games on Game Boy too.
Awesome, someone gave me an old Gameboy and a bunch of games... one of which just happened to be Pokemon Red. Now, if I just had some batteries.
I guess I'll have to grab my GBA and rechargables next time I visit my parents.
Well, this has nothing to do with the games, but the next Pokemon episode in America is the last one on WB, as well as, I believe, the last episode with the old VA's.
They're not airing it this weekend though, as far as I know. It's either next weekend or the weekend after that. Then, it's moving to Cartoon Network, most likely to be placed in the afternoons, rather than early morning. Now I won't have any reasons to get up Sunday mornings!
not even any for of the other quality programming on WB?
