For me... music is sometimes an art and some artists get it right, then there are the times when I want to smash the heads in of people who brought us Crazy Frog icon_razz.gif
Anyway I was a big fan untill late of Blues and Jazz, but now I find my taste limited to one man. Who has ever such a strange Stage name Meatloaf when I first heard his song Bat out of Hell I don't know what to say other then I was hooked on his songs and I just loved the live recording with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. I mean there are hundards of songs that have hooked me with their cool beats but this is the first artists who's got me hooked.

he helped me alot on my fan ficitions, he is so easy to listen to and he is one of the best artists of all time.
Yer, it hard to believe when his tracks first came out no one liked him, but he managed to gain a VDF base and suddenly Bang.... he became really popular. I' Can't wait untill his new album comes out this year, I'll be the first in the cue to get one....

YOu and me both how can you not like Meal Loaf come on its jsut not possible.
You do realise that Meatloaf almost had a staring role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show , -Remember that OVA Fan-fic where Nene drags Linna to the show.... That was a killer flick.... Never understood Never will....-
Always Bat out of Hell for me....

My dad was a Meatloaf fan, so I heard a fair bit of his music when I was an 'ickle kid. I have to say, I don't mind the odd song from "Bat Out of Hell 2"...esp. 'Life is a Lemon (and I want my money back)" What a great title!
His little cameo role in the "Rocky Horror Show" was also rather memorable. One of my favourite parts of that film. Shame his role in that film wasn't bigger.
He was surpost to have a bigger role, but for some reason he had to give it up....

While I'm not a huge fan of Meat Loaf in the direct sense, there is a certain lame appeal to his music that keeps me coming back. Most of that appeal comes from Jim Steinman, who composed both of Meat Loaf's 'Bat Out Of Hell' albums, but also Bonnie Tyler's smash 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and Celine Dion's annoying hit 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now'.
If you like Meat Laof, chances are you'd like most of Steinman's work. My favourite will always be 'Nowhere Fast' by Fire, Inc. This was the theme song to the greatest Rock N' Roll fable ever told, the 1984 movie 'Streets of Fire'.
